The Chargers have NEVER won a SB yet and my bet is that they NEVER will as long as Schottenheimer is there...........

(and Yes, Mr. Samurai, I DO...... and when the Schottenheimer nightmare ends, either with a SB (very unlikely) or his retirement in disgrace, ( about 10-1 in Vegas) one of us is going to have to eat a big crow. My bet is that your Chargers will actually BE EATEN by a big crow this season in the playoffs, a big Ugly Purple Crow........)

Yes, and Charger fans are forever gratefull to the entire Manning family. I will take Rivers, Merriman and Nate Kaeding for Eli any time!!! I think Eli for Kaeding was a fair enough trade. Think of Rivers and Merriman as a Christmas gift.
Now... the super bowl part. Let's get there first!
Go Chargers!!!

San Diego Chargers are QB experts. Who would have thought they would have done so well drafting Eli Manning, and ended up with Rivers.

Do you remember them drafting Michael Vick? They did and then turned him into a guy named Ladanian Tomlinson ever heard of him?

I say draft a QB next year and trade down for a lower pick it will be gold!

Pardon me! You are much more precise than I was, but it was the point that I was making nothing to do with the draft, my apologies! I hope you can accept!

It is pretty funny the way things work out. I think it was the football gods apologizing for the whole Ryan Leaf thing. And don't mind what Don J said above me, he likes to sniff out any questions having anything to do with the Chargers just so he can Marty-bash. My money's on the Chargers this year.

Just to correct the guy a few answers above - The Chargers did not draft Vick in 2001. They traded the first overall pick for the Falcons' first-round (4th overall) and third-round choices, a second-round pick in 2002 (which became Reche Caldwell), and Tim Dwight.

He didn't what to play for the chargers b/c of what happened with Ryan Leaf. Plus we didn't really want a cocky, gerk. The chargers are going to win the super bowl for the next three years

They haven't made the Super Bowl yet...

Still, they always say "be careful what you wish for..." Manning is good, he is just stuck with Tom Coughlin. He's conservative, and inconsistent. They should be much better.

Makes you wonder if the Manning brothers will ever play in a Super Bowl...
