they were beaten by an unranked team??? Has it ever happened? It will this year b/c USC was that team, and no matter what happens ppl are still stuck up USC's a** knowing they dont deserve to go. A natl contender shouldnt be beaten by a team not ranked, it has never happened to my knowledge so if it has please enlighten me.

Florida - 1 loss, to #11 Auburn
Michigan - 1 loss, to #1 Ohio State
USC - 1 loss, to unranked Oregon St.

How in the hell can you make a valid argument for USC?? Even furthur

Mich vs. Notre Dame - Mich wins 47 - 21 at South Bend
USC vs. Notre Dame - USC wins 44-24 at USC...

So Mich went to Notre Dame and beat them worse than USC did at home...yet they jump then in the BCS. The BCS is so damn biased...

USC beat a few teams yes...but Michigan and Florida has had just as tough of a schedule.

Notre Dame - overrated, they havent beaten anyone all season, toughest team they beat in Penn State, wow not impressive.

Cal - they are not that tough, Tennessee took care of them in 1 half and they were beaten by friggin Arizona.

Nebraska - who has Nebraska beaten? No one, they are the Big 12 north champs b/c the Big 12 north is awful.

Arkansas - to bad Arkansas was missing their starting QB/RB for well over half the game and those 2 backups accounted for 4 turnovers..

You are an absolute IDIOT to tell me USC is better than either Michigan or Florida.

Michigan gave Wisconsin their only loss, they beat Notre Dame worse than USC did despite having to go to Notre Dame.

Florida beat LSU who is top 5 in the nation, Tennessee (who spanked Cal) and Arkansas (if they win). They have played a much tougher schedule...

Mich. barely beat Ball State yes...that game was 17-3 til the final minutes big whoop...Ohio State barely beat Illinois?? USC barely beat Washington, or Wash. St., even Arizona...all those teams suck. USC DIDNT beat Oregon St. who is HORRIBLE, Oregon St. was beaten by Boise by 40+ but turned around and beat USC...NO CHANCE USC IS BETTER...OVERRATED

i agree, i dont see how losing to the #1 team by only 3 points makes u drop in the ranking especially when the other teams lost to worse teams by a larger margin

Well, if the season were one game, you might be right.

But it isn't, so you're an idiot.

I guess the 11 games they will win this regular season, including wins over Notre Dame, Arkansas (SEC West Champion), and Nebraska (Big 12 North Champion) don't mean a damn thing to you, or that Florida beat Western Carolina, or that Michigan damn near lost to Ball State.

Nope, it's all based on the 1 loss.

And, hate to break it to you, but Oregon State is ranked. #24 in the current BCS poll, including being #19 by the computer rankings.

Instead of looking at who they lost to, try looking at who they beat. It's not USC's fault Michigan didn't schedule enough tough teams. USC played a better schedule and got the benefit of that.

Im sure it has happened before. There is nothing wrong with losing to an unranked team. Any team can lose on any given field or any given time. Just look at West Virginia this week. They lost to unranked South Florida at home.

That's just one game. USC beat ND, ARK, CAL, Nebraska, Oregon, etc.

michigan already had their chance. they lost what basically was the big ten title game. and never after the 1st quarter did anyone think Ohio St. was going to lose. florida maybe has a beef but thats tough cookies.

And this is why we need a playoff system. Granted that no matter who they play if ohio state wins they are undisputed champs(unless you count that other undefeated team), but if they lose you have 3 or 4 teams that a case can be made that they deserve the trophy to.
