Disgusting? NO!!!!! Winning is more important that ANYTHING now in America...beg, borrow, CHEAT, steal, whatever it takes to get the job done.

Maybe he should earn "sportsman of the year" award, and let's give this loser a ticket-tape parade in the HALL OF SHAME! A guy like this should never be allowed to play sports again. Fire the a$$hole...

Who is it that said:"it's not how you play the game...it's only if you win"?

Please help these nimrods understand why the sec is by far the premier conference in the nation. penn st., michigan, ohio state, etc....would be lucky to go 7-4 in this powerhouse. yes, those are quality teams, don't get me wrong, but there were some douchebags on here yesterday saying that these teams would dominate the SEC, and that is simply not true. georgia, lsu, auburn, tenn, florida, albama, man, my hand aches from typing all the great teams in this conference, and to say any other conference is even REMOTELY close in talent is a joke. do your homework people, then join the ranks of the real football fans, the SEC!!!!! GO DAWGS!....by the way, ohio st. fans...ohio st. has faced sec teams 8 times in bowl games....their record...0-8!!!! i rest my case!!!

Why does/doesn't the NFL punish players for off-field activities?
What off-field happenings are suspendable and what are not due to the collective bargaining agreement.
(ie: drunk driving, beat a cop, beat a wife, drugs)

Ok they are 3-1 (0-1 in division)...congrats. I would hope so after playing 3 of the leagues worst teams in the NFL this season. First off...their wins come against the Texans, 49ers, and Packers...a combined 3-9...and a loss to a 1-2 Giants team. The Eagles havent faced a single defense who is worth mentioning. Defensively, PPG the Texans 27th, Packers 28th, Giants 31st, 49ers 32nd. Defensively, YPG the 49ers 24th, Giants 27th, Pack 31st, Texans 32nd. Defensively Pass YPG the 49ers 24th, Giants 29th, Pack 31st, Texans 32nd. Get a clue!!!! LoL, these are 4 of the worst 6-7 defenses in football. And you lost to one of them who isnt above 27th in any defensive category!!! In the same categories...Dallas 8th PPG, 5th YPG, and 8th pass YPG. Eagles same categories, 14th PPG, 21 YPG, 28th pass YPG. When you beat a REAL team then talk. Im not being cocky just annoyed with nonsense. Anyone else agree or notice how retarded Eagles fans are? They started 3-1 last year too...uh oh

Its simple to find out how much nfl players get paid, but some friends and I were wondering how they get paid all these millions? Do they get a check every two weeks as though it were a regular salary? Or by only get paid during the season? Or lump sum?

Every week two people vote West Virginia ahead of OSU, is there a way to view who is doing this ridiculous ranking? I'm just curious as to whether they are local beat writers from West Virginia or where they are from.

Not being facetious or anything, I've just noticed that a number of my friends who once played football at one time or another in their life now seem to struggle with at least one form of permanent bodily injury specifically from it. Mind you, I've never played on a team, so I know nothing about what to expect injury-wise. But I do distinctly recall seeing some games in the past where a player was taken out of the game injured, or laid on the side to recover (this was at a kids football game, too.)
Is a permanent injury more or less the expectation if you've played football, or is this an inaccurate generalization, and do I just coincidentally happen to have injured friends?
Thanks.

Hello, Does anyone have an idea, generally speaking, of the university or college with the best football and basketball programs? I am transferring to the University of Texas, Austin and a co-worker went to Ohio State University. We were wondering which college over the years and currently has the "better or best" football/basketball sports program. In other words, year after year, who has had the higher ranked basketball and football teams. Like one might say Harvard/Yale/Princeton has the best academic programs, we want to know about sports. Thank you.

I agree that what Haynesworth did was unsportsmanlike, but I think it is being over-inflated. The "stomp" did not appear to have any real force to it, but the news stories would have you believe that a 325lb tackle was jumping up and down on someone's head!

During and after the game they were reporting that they guy needed 5 stitches - and now all of a sudden they are saying 30 and talking about plastic surgery - as if he destroyed the man's face!

It was definately lame, and Haynesworth seems to have anger management issues, but the reaction seems way overboard; must be a slow news day.

Thoughts?
