Every week two people vote West Virginia ahead of OSU, is there a way to view who is doing this ridiculous ranking? I'm just curious as to whether they are local beat writers from West Virginia or where they are from.

bigvol - I wholeheartedly agree with you. I would take Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, hell I'd even take Texas, Tennessee, and LSU with one loss to be ranked higher than WVU. I'm sure it's very hard to be 4-0 when playing the powerhouses of Marshall, Eastern Washington, Maryland, and East Carolina.

When one of your two toughest games of the year is Rutgers, you know something is terribly wrong.

schmeegin - what are you talking about? I never said WVU was number 1, I am asking who are the people who keep giving WVU their two first place votes every week.

Honestly I think its a person with Tourettes disease and keeps accidently selecting the wrong group. Thats the only way to explain West Viriginia's consistent #1 vote. They don't deserve it at all. I would love to see that team get thrown into the Big Ten and see how bad they get beaten by teams like Indiana and Illinois.

Whatever Congress decides or doesn't decide, any legislation it tries to pass will be rendered moot. The mere attempt by legislators is nothing more than political grandstanding. It's like you saying you're against global warming. Sure, you're against it, but you can't make it change one way or another. Let's say such a bill does pass Congress. All the NCAA would have to do at that point is sue in the legislative branch and there the proposal will die. Congress would try to argue that the BCS is a living, breathing violation of existing anti-trust legislation but the fact is there is no violation no matter how anyone might try to spin the argument. However remote the possibility might be, every FBS team theoretically has a chance to play for the title. Thus, no anti-trust laws have been violated. And on top of that, there's nothing to stop any FBS team from dropping down to the FCS level where playoffs are in effect. Again, no anti-trust violation. It's not that I'm against a playoff but the financial reality of the situation is that the current bowl system without any doubt whatsoever generates more revenue than any 8 or 16 team playoff format ever could.

W.V. has a much easier schedule than OSU. So people may think that West Virginia has a better chance of getting to the National Title game, OSU is a much better team. The problem with OSU is they are playing Michigan in November and the winner of that team will be the National Champion.

I wish I knew who was votiing that ridiculous team ahead of so many better teams, even some with one loss are better than WVU! Their schedule is a joke! They only have one or two serious games at best and may lose one or both! I hope it happens, not because I dislike WVU, but because I want the BCS to be shown to be the stupid system that it is!
