Its simple to find out how much nfl players get paid, but some friends and I were wondering how they get paid all these millions? Do they get a check every two weeks as though it were a regular salary? Or by only get paid during the season? Or lump sum?

depending on how they set it up.
Just like School Teachers can get paid through the school year or they can pro-rated over the entire year. So in the summer months they still get a check even though school is out for the summer.
They dont get checks it is done through direct deposits.

Depends on the player, contract, and organization.
Some players get a salary - especially the mid-grade players. Most of these are the 250k-1m dollars a year guys. They get a steady check every week or two. Other players get guranteed money in one lump sum then gather a salary - this is usually high round draft picks or established players who are not franchise guys. Then there are the guys who get large sums infrequently while getting smaller salary checks - these are usually the big named franchise guys. They may have a 50m dollar contract, they get a chunk up front (5-10m) then get small checks all year (like 50K a check), then get another lump sum per month based on the escaladers in their contracts. Names like TO, Payton Manning, McNabb, S. Alexander have these kind of contracts. Mostly cause they are getting checks for various places (Nike, Gatorade, UnderArmor, Fubu, etc) and they have to have accounting done correctly to cut the huge checks they're making.

Fyi: Basketball players actually make more money and their contracts are automatically guranteed depending on what happens in the CBA whenever they get it done. Now under the old CBA the league minium was around 400-700k depending on if the player was a rook, vet, or on the practice squad. Its been awhile since I've looked at the numbers but the average salary is only a few mil. Only 10-20 of NFLers get those massive contracts we all hear about on sports center. For every Peyton, Ray Lewis, AP, Marshall, Polamalu, Jhari Evans there is a Troy Smith, Stephen Albright, Darry Beckwith, a Fred Mcafee guys who make peanuts in comparision to the more talented guys with bigger roles as well as stars. Not to discourage about making it as an athlete but be ready to GRIND be a trusting teammate but if it doesnt have anything to do with ball dont worry about cause in sports u cant trust anyone everyone's out for themselves. And to make it to the pro level you gotta be willing to take another man's job if not they'll take yours. Good luck dude

there are lots of different anuses to this. some are paid every two weeks year round, some are paid by the game. sometimes if a player has a multi million dollar contract he may be paid out over a number of years. say if he signed a 5 year contract for 15 million dollars, he may get one million a year for 15 years. makes the taxes better for him and easier on the owner also.

performance bonus are paid in a lump sum at the end of the year.
