India can win more 20/20 matches than 1 day or 5days.The reason 20/20 matches can be won by individual performances .In 50 or test match evry player has to perform.
performance like 30 ball 70 can win 20/20 matches but for 1 day or 5 day whole team has to give more than 100 percent.
What do u think

India has lost the 1st test match by a massive 337 run margin.

Based on what was said by Indian player before game started and what was end result, what are your thoughts?

All that India said about Australia before game started, and all the remarks made by Oz, Devil, etc etc have been blown away.

I feel this is why no team in the world should speak big before any kind of game starts.

Because then it ends as up as --

"all words but no action"

Second innings?

Will Indian batsman be ready in 3 days time at Sydney, Australia for 2/4 Test match?

Even the best cricket teams suddenly become weak as bangladesh or kenya, when they tour Australia.

So much experience and such talented players India has, but somehow on Australian territory all their strength gets washed out.

India is 144/6 at this point in 6th inning and they still haven't even totaled the Australian 1st inning's 343, but only 4 wickets are left.

Why does this happen with each team that plays in Australia?

Do you think team india will be getting better by second Test ,...as the series ,goes on?
i think they were over confident in first test..
so by second test they will face Australians realisticaly...

He could have replaced Dravid or Yuvraj, who have not been able to perform well.

I don't think it is fair to not give chance for so many games only because few times in the past a batsman doesn't do good.

Similarly it is not wise to presume that a batsman will do good, because he played well with pakistan in test (like Yuvi or Dravid).

The selectors need to make selection carefully without being overconfident or being unfair.

Australia & India

I was busy with the recent developments, so missed out on the Australia- India match. However, I see that a lot of hot words are being excanged between Sri Lanka + India vs Australia. Whats going on? From the news report today I know it will be uphill task for Indian brothers, so why are people upset?
What is it about umpiring....the news speaks of dissent by Mr Yuvraj Singh of India, is there more to the story.
In any case I clearly mentioned before that for a variety of reasons this tour by India will not be easy. Frankly, this should be no surprise.
Best solution (by my book) play fire by fire (example, Miadad (Pak)vs Lillee(Aus)) and recently Symmonds ve Sreesanth. Although there are many decent players in the Aus side, some are not, including leader. However, bullies always fear and in the end get their gaand broken when they are challenged. General statement for bullies--dont call me a racist.
I am not speaking in support of India. Its ok to fight, win or loose.--- Rehman

Australia has put up a clinic against India in all facets of the game

Batting, bowling and fielding too

The thing that caught my eye was when Aussies were batting in their 1st innings, even though wickets kept falling down and no shots were available to be played (good discipline by Indian bowlers and no bad balls being put forth), Aussies continue to rotate the strike, keep the scorebard ticking and continued to run between the wickets

they converted 1s into 2s, 2s into 3s and no wonder it looked like they had a "large" total even though they played average cricket

and the middle batsmen forced the issue and played their usual shots instead of waiting around for a bad ball to come by

why can't India do that?

haven't they learned that the wait and watch for the bad ball to arrive to be punished approach doesn't work outside of India (especially in Australia)

when are they ever gonna learn to play aggressive cricket and fight fire with fire instead of being soft and passive?

Indian bowlers will bowl 100% tika.

India talked very tough before starting the test. Harbhajan threw verbal bombs on Australia and proclaimed superiority already before arriving in Australia.

Similar attitude was shown by several other indian cricketers.

i thought maybe India really does have a surprise for australia at last.

But on the field, its altogether a different story.

So that goes with the saying, of

"all words but no action"

They talked big, but could not show action.

so unfortunate and pitiful. its very sad when i see the end result and compare it to what was said before the game started.
