If the Indians are to win a game in this series, their best chance is Sydney. It is the best spin wicket. It should favour them. Tendulkar has a good record there, so that should work in their favour but Kumble doesn't have a good record in Sydney, nor do Dravid, Laxman or Ganguly. Singh (the Harbajan variety) hasn't produced anything of note on tour so far and if he can't perform in Sydney, it's quite possible that India will miss their chance. Failing a dramatic turnaround, any sane person would have to back Australia. The Indians also need to learn patience. You can't blame the umpire for Tendulkar's impetuous chop on, Dravid's woeful lack of form or the consistent misfielding. Perhaps it was just that Dravid was sledged into 66 balls of mind-numbing insanity ... or perhaps not. (One of the most fluent batsmen in the world, not even trying a shot?!?!) India is heading in the right direction under Kumble, but the batsmen need to fire.
