They gave up too quickly. The last 5 wickets were lost at 27 runs only. And thats what caused such a massive 337 run defeat. From 68 for 2, to 161 all out.

It seems mentally they just got crushed under pressure. Overseas their isn't much support like home.

The stadium was largely empty and very few indian audience only. So their was no drive or spirit to fight hard.

It was a worst defeat. Though Australia is a better and strong side, better performance was expected from India. While their under rated bowlers performed better, the much talked about indian batting line did not justice to their reputation and meeklhy surrendered to the Australian bowlers.
