Aussies gained on organic dishonest. First Ponting no longer walking while he had nicked a ball on 17. Then Symonds no longer given out two times (as quickly as getting a thick side and yet yet back a poor determination while he grew to become into stumped). Then Wasim Jaffer given out on a no-ball. In india's 2nd innings Ganguly and Dravid have been wrongly given out. Even RP Singh and Dhoni have been struck exterior the line and the ball could have relatively ignored the stumps yet nevertheless they have been given out LBW. the recommendations have been loaded in Australia's favour. additionally with a undeniable stylish southpaw greater worried approximately Ms Padukone than his batting what have been the possibilities of him scoring lots? For me the Indians have been winners or perhaps concept there have been many incorrect umpiring judgements the Indians fought brilliantly.

India must be happy that they only lost by 337 runs
b'coz of their over confindence
they also deserved to lose the warm up match against victoria but fortunately interupted by rain

the defeat doesn't come as a surprise to me but the margin of defeat is what comes as surprise to me.
Many top order batsmen of India failed --- Yuvraj Singh, Dravid, Dhoni and Jaffer too.
This is what led India down. Kumble did good job, Zaheer Khan did good job. Harbajjan did okay job too (even though he failed in batting, he is not expected to bat good since he's bowler). Tendulkar and Ganguly did fine too.
To me seeing Dhoni, Dravid, Yuvi perform like this is particularly the biggest shock to me, more than anything else. They were experienced players.
But there is nothing to be ashamed of. I respectfully disagree with viyakil. Every country loses to Australia.
Indian cricket also has too much politics inside it. This is another problem that lets India down.

I had expected this defeat, but, like all of you, I never expected that they will lose by such a huge margin. I thought Indian team will put up a tough fight, but, they surrendered meekly just as Sri Lanka. This is one of the worst day and worst defeats in the history of Indian Test cricket. What is the use of having the best and the most formidable batting line-up when they are unable to perform at a crucial time? Our bowlers did a fantastic job, but our famed batting line-up let us down.

i'm not too sure that the loss came as a surprise. but by 337! that's heaps. and they didn't even make 200 in either of the innings. so yes the actual number of runs they lost by was a shock.

While defeat of india was expected when they conceded huge first innings lead, defeat with such huge margin was not at all expected and it is a shame for the famous batting line up of India.

As an Aussie I was suprized. The wicket even suited the Indians more, but they had too much of a defensive mind-set.
Sehwag should come in and an all-rounder such as Pathan should come in at 7.

I expected a closer game, India's bowling was fine the blame lays purely with the batsmen.
