i hear about NBA players heights when they are in high school... take lebron james for example... lebron was 6'1ish in 8th grade, 6'3 in freshman year in high school....

now that hes a pro he is 6'8.... that means he grew 5 inches since his freshman year..... and scottie pippen, after his sophomore year in high school he grew 6 inches in the summer??? how is that possible!?!?!?!?!?

how is this possible if people say you start to slow down on growing when you hit 16-18 years old??

Males are waaay better then females. The only thing females are good for is serving men. Men Rule!

This is what females CAN'T do that males CAN do.

1. A Foul-Line Dunk
2. Bench Press 600 lbs.
3. Beat a prime Mike Tyson in a boxing match
4. Beat a prime Shaq in a SERIOUS game of 1 on 1
5. Accomplish a scoring title in the NBA (if a woman were allowed to play).

See there men are better! There isn't a woman on earth that could do any of that! Men rule!

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant sat out practice for the third straight day Tuesday, then denied a report that he had cleaned out his locker -- a story carried by several local news outlets.
Bryant spoke for less than two minutes in the parking lot of the team's practice facility. Previously, he had said very little to reporters since Jerry Buss stated last week in Honolulu that he "would certainly listen" to trade offers for the NBA's scoring leader.
Kobe said, "I don't know, talk to Mitch and Mr. Buss about that," when asked if he had played his final game for the Lakers, referring to general manager Mitch Kupchak and the team's owner. "I'm just getting ready. If I'm here, I'm ready to strap it up."

I watched an ESPNC who's #1 on Buzzer Beaters just wondering what some other peoples opinions are. I gotta agree with the 1 being Duke/Kentucky and #2 being Houston/NCst the only problem I see with it was Houston/NCst was for the championship...granted Duke did go on to win the championship but it wasnt the championship game.

i swear, so many players do their so called rituals b4 shooting their free throws, some take more than 10 secs, but the refs never penalize them, why? Isn't that a rule? Drives me crazy

I think the preseason rankings on Yahoo sports provided by "Rivals" are ridiculous and want to know when I can expect to see the sports Illustrated preseason poll, which I find the most reliable, and the AP pre-season poll. I just never can remember when these things come out ... help!

"And while I will challenge anybody fact-for-fact who says Nash was more deserving than LeBron, let's just assume that I had a few drinks, am in an insanely generous mood, and granted benefit-of-extreme-doubt courtesy #2. But what defies any semblance of fairness, logic, and rational human thought is the indefensible LANDSLIDE MVP vote that concluded with Nash receiving 57 to Lebron's 16 first place votes. With Socrates, Plato, and NBA MVP voting history turned on their respective heads, this vote is "Exhibit A" why future MVP judging should be permanently taken away from our nation's sportswriters. "

"So from now on, I will go back to rooting for Steve Nash, and for everything that he represents. I'll root for his game, his community service and most urgently, for his anti-war stance to be heard by as many people as possible. And if he is not facing my beloved Knicks in the finals, I might even root hard for him to get that championship ring. But it is simply not fair or ethical to wildly root for Nash, but not challenge the white privilege that he regularly receives by a media that predominantly looks likes him, lives vicariously through him, and probably wants to BE him. Rooting for Nash comes with the added responsibility of demanding the very same accolades, credit, and attention be given to any other athlete who is just as worthy, if not more worthy of our praise. So yes, it is clearly my fault because while I was innocently cheering for Steve Nash, enjoying his on-court game, and admiring his off-court causes, it took me this long to write why "It's Not Steve Nash's Fault".

Do you think if he got to play with Drexler in Portland he could've won a championship?

Also do you think Sabonis is one of the top 10 centers to ever play the game of basketball ?

"Scottie Pippen enabled Michael Jordan to be a champion."

"All Jordan, you say. Anyone playing the Robin role would have tallied enough to make the record books with Jordan dragging him and everyone else along to his own destiny.

Or perhaps not.

And it's not just the championships, which Pippen didn't win without Jordan. Though Pippen came a lot closer without Jordan than Jordan did without Pippen."
