Well if it is then so be it.

Kobe Bryant is not the Lakers. The Lakers have a long proud history. There were 11 Championships before Kobe ever walked in the door and 3 afterwards. There will be more championships to come.

In their 59 year history they have made 54 playoff appearances. Kobe Bryant was on one of the 5 Laker teams that did not make the playoffs.

The Lakers have the best winning percentage in the history of the NBA with 2848 wins and 1799 losses for a .613 win percentage. There will be more wins to come.

The name on the front of the jersey (Lakers) is much more long-lasting and important than the name on the back of jersey.

It's called a rumor for a reason! Who cares where Kobe goes though. The Pistons won't be doing much this year except for probably having injury problems.

Maybe, in a little more while. We'll just have to wait with Buss entertaining offers maybe sooner. It's the first time since Kobe made a scandalous remark about him wanting to go out of the Lakers. It only means that he's getting tempted trading his lone superstar to great suitors. But I don't believe Chicago would dismantle their talented young guys just to get him maybe two pieces not an entire team. I also heard some rumor that Kobe chooses Chicago because he liked to challenge Jordan's legacy there. Well good luck with that. We just have to wait and see.

Hope this helps.
