Actually England does have a professional basketball league called the British Basketball League (BBL). It is not that well known of a league even in England. It is one of the few leagues in England to utilize the franchise system. Most leagues in England use a promotion and relegation system most notably football soccer and rugby. I do not believe their teams participate in the Euroleague so maybe that is explains why. The only European competition British teams compete in is the ULEB Cup and only one British team is in it. It is the second most important competition in European basketball after the Euroleague.

Hey, can you tell me how popular the New Zealand Breakers of the NBL is in New Zealand? Always wanted to know that.

The country has national men's and women's basketball teams that compete internationally. In the 2006 Commonwealth Games, both teams captured bronze medals.

Does not matter. They still have Led Zeppelin! I think they are too proper and have too many WNBA type players like John Amechi.
