Should the phoenis suns go out and get a young backup pointgaurd to backup nash and then groom him to be his replacement down the line?

hey all i am saying is that the nets got marcus williams who they are grooming to take over for kidd when he retires so how come the suns haven't done that yet. Because Marcus Banks is not working out and Barbosa is not a passer at all. Think about it.

They already have a backup point guard in Leandro Barbosa

Althought he is more a shooting guard, he is a good passer too and is very unselfish

I think Barbosa is the best backup point guard in the NBA

The suns don't have to worry about their guards, they have enough of them...in their interior outside of the fragile Amare they have no one

Marion is serviceable but when you go up against the Likes of Duncan and Shaq you wanna true post defender which the Suns dont have

No they have enough guards to back up Nash right now. Nash plays a lot of minutes so it really doesnt matter. You have to blow up the team when he retires because it doesnt matter who they bring in there they wont run the offense like Nash. Right now Marcus Banks has to step up in order to take some minutes from Nash because he needs the rest at times. his problem is he's a scorer like Barbosa. The closest thing to a guard you could groom would be like a Mike Conley jr. Raymond Felton. But Phoenix cant trade for them.

Well, they got D.J. Strawberry who's a pretty good player and will gel with the Suns quickly. He will need 2 years to become a real steady PG for the Suns. Strawberry should become a defensive stopper because he was one of the best defenders in the country last year.

It doesn't really matter, The Suns don't play their bench, Marcus Banks was killing people in the Summer league this year, and is more than an adequate back- up.

you're obviously a horrible suns fan. maybe the suns or nets should go get a great point guard or the heat should try and get a great young shooting guard. exhibit A why suns fans are fare weather fans
