1. chicago (gordon, deng, first round pick)
2. dallas (dirk and first round pick)
3. boston (paul pierce and 2 draft picks)
4. phoenix (marion and first round pick)
5. houston (t-mac and battier)
the best fit is houston, which no one really talks about -- but yao is the perfect center for kobe's outside game. the only teams that should really pursue him though are chicago and dallas. he's too moody and self-absorbed. and he never got over the fact that shaq was the cornerstone of the lakers, not him.

This season, L.A.
Next season, who knows?
The Lakers management is apparently too busy watching paint dry to care enough to consider trading him. If it was going to be done, it should have been done around the time that he asked. Instead, it took up until now, the month that the season starts, for that psycho to claim he would possibly trade him. And Kobe himself seems to have given up weeks ago and insists that he's ready to continue playing with the Lakers. I doubt that anything will really happen any day soon, besides incessant rumors of teams like Dallas and New York wanting him. If it does though, I'll only believe it when I see it.

For now, I'll stick with what Dr. Buss says, if the Lakers win (advance to 2nd round), there will be no problem, and Kobe is a Laker for life. But if Kobe is traded, out of all the rumors out there, I believe it will either be Chicago (Deng, Gordon & Co.) or Dallas (Dirk & Co.). Of course that is contingent upon Chicago or Dallas not doing well enough to reach their own expectations.

I think he will end up with the lakers again this season and next season just because he has a contract unless they get a better trade for Kobe.

Rumor has it will be in Dallas but I have also heard a 3 way deal with New York and Dallas in which Kobe will go to Dallas and Dallas will send 2 players to the Lakers who will send 1 to the Knicks for one of their players or a draft choice for next year.
