For example...we have many players who are second generation players in the majors. They have had their dads play before them.
There are currently 4 baseball players that have had their fathers hit 300 or more home runs.

bonds won 4 straight mvp awards and has always been considered the best player to play in this era but i was looking at his stats and he only led the majors in HRs once and he never has tons of RBIs like some other guys so what makes him super great and superior to guys like arod, pujols, manny, and many other superstars? is it cause he hardly strikes out, or all of his walks. or am i overrating HRs and RBIs and underrating stats like OBP and slugging average and walks, and strikeouts? i cant seem to grasp how good bonds was cause he really never lead the majors in RBIs and HRs except once.

I just inherited a bunch of quasi-old baseball cards, late 80's early 90's... I wasn't going to sell them all just a few, but I wasn't sure how to find out there worth, or where the best place to sell baseball cards is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, another opinion question, but the Yankees recently gave a contract to Roger Clemens that, with incentives and performance bonuses could land him 28 million dollars for 1 year of work. Does anyone think ''the rocket'' is really as good as he has always been at his age, or are the yankees so much in trouble with the starting pitching injuries that they have to pay Mr Clemens this much just to draw him out of retirement to pitch for them? This of course knowing he may not today be worth 28 million.

Well, is pretty self explanatory. And please, no insulting my intelligence, I know how to calculate an average, I just don't know what factors into an ERA. Thank You!

The NY Yankees are said to have the bambino curse now. They are the most expensive thing, but yet the have gotten so unlucky. They say what goes around comes around. Yankees have now what Boston was said to have for almost 100 years.

I can't help but notice that all Yankee fans on the board are all like zombies all saying "We will come back and win it like we always do." Its like none of them even have an understanding of baseball or the fact that this is not those same teams that came back in the past. This is not the old Petite,Clemens,Wells,El Duke,Mussina staff that goes 7 or 8 innings consistently with an occasional 9 and keeps the bullpen fresh and strong all season long. They basically are stuck with a load of 6 inning starters with a 7 or 8 on rare occasions. How can you tax your bullpen that much and expect to make the same comebacks as with the above mentioned kind of staff? I predict they lose the division by double digits and I am yet to find a single Yankee fan who even ponders the possibility they might not win it this year if they don't make big changes.I understand supporting your team and all but if they don't get starters with endurance for longer innings they have no shot at even staying close.

A letter to the LA Times suggested that since Clemens missed spring training he won't be tested for steriods there, and since he missed the first part of the season he won't be tested at all. I thought there was a random test in the middle of the season too?
