The greatest hitter of all time was Ty Cobb his career batting average was .363. Thats the most of all time. The best pitcher ever was Cy Young. All I got to say is that they have a pitchers award named after him. The Cy Young award.

Greatest pitcher and hitter? Easily Ruth. Could pitch very well, could hit great. No one else comes close to combining such outstanding performance in both areas.

I think that Cy Young is the best pitcher. He had an award named after him. I also think that Joe Dimaggio is the best hitter ever. He has the longest hit streak in the history of baseball.
