The NY Yankees are said to have the bambino curse now. They are the most expensive thing, but yet the have gotten so unlucky. They say what goes around comes around. Yankees have now what Boston was said to have for almost 100 years.

I think they should have given A-Rod the Shortstop position. He plays that better than Jeter, don you think so?

I think people in general have taken this curse of the bambino a bit to far. Yeah it was eerily conicidental that the Sox went 86 years between world series titles after they traded away Babe Ruth. However this "curse" grew to the point to where people where overlooking the fact that Ruth's legacy truly was the he left the game without a doubt in anyone's mind about who was the best to ever play. Instead he got assosciated with an organization's failures that he had nothing to with.

Now what, Babe Ruth has cursed another organization that he played for because now THEY aren't winning the world series? How about the teams on the feild that are out there losing the games?

Curse? Did they have the curse between 1979 and 1995 when they didn't win any championships? No, they just didn't have the right assortment of talent. Right now they are struggling because the bullpen is being overused and the starting pitchers have been getting injured. Last year they were 4 out in May and by the end of August they were in 1st place with a 9 game lead. Ask again in September.

There is no curse, never was.
A-Rod is right where he needs to be at Third base, period. Statistically he is better than Jeter (maybe at the end of his career the best of all time), but stats don't always tell the entire story. Jeter is as solid as they come in the field, a great leader on the field and in the clubhouse, and plays the game the way it is supposed to be played. Jeter will have more than 3,000 hits and a .300 BA at the end of his career, which last time I looked wasn't too shabby.

Not the bambino curse more like the Damon curse. Sox let him because of his week arm and is injury prone.

Course what Marc C said A Rod is their curse too

No...
if you hadn't noticed, they are in third place, which isn't too bad. Plus, it's early yet. There's plenty of time for them to pick up the pace. Not that i care; i don't particularly like the Yankees cuz the Mets are better. and i personally think A-Rod is better than Derek Jeter, but then again, i like David Wright even better.
As for that opinion that it is the curse of A-Rod, look at his stats. he is leading in home runs in the AL. He is also leading in RBIs, so lay off of him.

No, they have the "Steinbrenner Curse," which is even worse than the "Bambino Curse." Too bad too because they have some great players.

Chow!!

the red sox never had a curse...they just sucked for 100 years. Yankees have never/will never have a curse with the kind of money they will pay for a good player =))
