A letter to the LA Times suggested that since Clemens missed spring training he won't be tested for steriods there, and since he missed the first part of the season he won't be tested at all. I thought there was a random test in the middle of the season too?

There are random tests in the middle of the season. A player is selected at random, notified by a team official, and is closely monitored by that official for a couple of hours, until he is capable of urinating into that bottle.

BUT, there are also masking agents and there are PED's for which there are as yet no effective tests.

I know where you're going with this question, and I agree, but it's unlikely that he'll be detected.

Oh come on.
I bet its 'random' - they will make sure they don't miss the big guys because its important to MLB to show the testing is working.

They gave the players enough time to get off the steriods, and most of them did

HGH on the other hand..

With all the exceptions they make for the King of Drama, I am sure that is part of his agreement to return, namely, that he not be tested. I mean, he doesn't have to go to spring training, he doesn't have to travel with the team to away games, he comes and goes to whatever team he chooses. How in the world can even Major League baseball insist that this icon be tested?? Unthinkable!! He is just special.

Chow!!

I doubt it. MLB wont test a player the caliber of Clemens. He is too valuable to baseball and the yankees franchise.

It doesnt make a difference if hey gets tested.M.L.B. doesnt test for H.G.H. & that is what most of the ex steroid players are taking now.
