Does it count as an attempted swing if the pitcher pitched a ball right at your face... and you put your hands to your face.. and the bat is still in your hands..and the ball hits your hands not the bat. I got called as a foul for that today.. but it's not like i even swung. My dad complained but I'm not sure what's right, I think I should reason with my dad that it doesnt count as a swing and I should take my base though since he coaches baseball at a college. What do you think?

What if your team is winning when you leave and end up losing and you missed it (or other way around)?

I predict that the 2006 National League Champions will be the New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, or the Chicago Cubs.

example, lets say its scorless in the tenth inning, the visiting team scores 15 runs in the top of the tenth & the home dosen't score in the bottom of the inning, the final score would be 15-0 in ten innings. Sounds funny but in MLB history it must have happend! Or something similar.

Sure , the winning league gets home field advantage in the World Series . But what would a player in the All Star Game from a team thats clearly not making it to the playoffs this year even care .

If you really want the All Star Game to be worth something for ALL the teams from the winning league ; make it that the winning league gets an extra series at home in next years Interleague games .
