I predict the Chicago White Sox. The Tigers do look good but I think the Sox are too much.

The Seattle Mariners, of course!
Seriously, I think the Tigers will beat the Athletics and the Red Sox defeat the wild-card White Sox in the first round, then the Tigers will beat the Red Sox.
The Mariners will probably finish above .500 but will finish second to Oakland.

the american league champion team will come from the central division. im thinking the White Sox. Detroit is in first but i dont expect them to hang up there after the all-star break. and now that the minnesota twins are winning again there could be three teams in the central division that will be fighting for it. but i expect the white sox to pull it out. with their lineup. Thome, Konerko, Dye, the best three in baseball. and their starting pitching is excelent also with faithfull Bobby Jenks as their closer. I dont see a better team out there.
