If anyone can, it's Albert. He can get red hot in a hurry. He'll need some luck and someone to stay hot batting after him or he'll not see any strikes down the stretch.

Not with the 2 weeks out with injury, he will still lead the league in homers at the end of the year I think but he needs to get his timing back again getting some hits since been back but just not the power. Hopefully Edmonds will get his groove back and stop being hurt and blowing so bad lately or Rolen can find his power stroke again even though he is doing great getting on base that way Pujols can get a little bit better pitch selection.

He's only got 85 games left in the season, and 47 HR's to reach 73 on the season. I'm not going to say that it's impossible, he did hit 25 in 49 games, but it's going to be pretty hard - that's 1 every game and a half or so. I definitely think he'll hit 50+ though.

Nope, because everyone will start pitching around him. The last week has shown that the Cardinals are in trouble, with or without Poo Holes. They're just lucky to be in the much-worse league this year.

He has a chance but it will be difficult. Its hard for anyone to keep up that pace. Dealing with walks & injuries is always a factor

Actually the record should still be 70( cuz bonds sux roids) and yes he will break it with 75+ and he'll do it all clean.

He definitely would have if he hadn't been hurt, but you can't break records that another guy set playing in a full season if you don't play one.

No I don't think he is going to which is really sad because I think that if he never got hurt he would have for sure done it!
