Most yankee fans are frontrunners who associate with the team only when they are winning. Most of the yankee fans that I know root for the team that should win the championship each year in each major sport.

Yankees (with an "s") fans are among the most knoweldgeable and loyal fans as there are in sports. Sure, there are some fans who are just on the bandwagon, as there are with every team in every sport. Just like the great fans of the Red Sox, Yankees fans come from families who have been fans for generations. You see, despite the heated rivalry between Boston and New York, true fans can respect the passion that the other has for their team. As an aside, the best part of all is listening to the jealous whiners out there who only wish that their team had the history and legendary status of the Yankees, with an owner who actually wants to win instead of pad his wallet at the expense of the team.

I grew up watching the Yankees and my father use to take me to games all the time growing up, but this was in the 80's. So yes, I would consider myself a "real" Yankees fan. I do know some people; however, that only seem to like them when they are winning. I like them - win or lose.

Even as a Yankees fan, I will admit that we've got a ton of bandwagoners - it is relatively unlucky on the grounds that the truly fanatics have a tendency to get stereotyped plenty on the grounds that of those false fanatics. Percentage: most of the time 60% false, forty% truly.

Yes most of the time.I am a true Yankee fan and I show my favortie team on shirts,hats etc.

they are actually under contract by "the boss" to be Yankees fans.
how do you think he fills that stadium up every game even though everybody you know hates the Yankees.
Its pretty obvious he pays them unnecessary amounts of money to be fans.
I mean, he pays A-rod unnecessary amounts of money to suck.
