My timing is off and my whole body is ahead of the ball that I am striking out everytime. I'm ahead of everything. What should I do? I play softball.

First of all, don' t be so tense, loosen up, relax. Practise, a lot.
What you have to do is keep your eye on the ball. This may sound silly, but sit down and take a really good look at the ball, count the stitches. Feel it, hold it. Think of nothing else but the ball. Now do the same with the bat. Remember that where the name of the bat is, that is the weakest part of the bat. Just between the emblem and 2" below the tip of the bat is where you hit the ball. What you need to do is slowly practise hitting the ball in that spot on the bat. Slowly at first, then work your way up until you hit it right over to centre field and beyond. This you can do on your own, but it is better if you have someone chase the ball for you. Just throw it up and when it comes down, then swing. Good Luck and enjoy the game.

Go to a batting cage, and be sure to take your time. If not they have "The Hitaway Softball" wich might teach you better timing. Think about buying one of those they are under $30

Depending how far you are ahead count to two or three when you think you should swing. Good Luck.

try shifting your weigh further back in your stance, so it will slow down your swing
