In respect of the passing of Benny Parsons today (1/16/07), what is your best memories of BP? The first time I've heard of his name is when I built the 1/24th plastic scale model kit of his #72 KINGS ROW Chevelle, although he had already Won the 1973 NASCAR Championship, very little news was given to Auto Racing at the time. I can still remember the MRN radio broadcasts naming the leaders of the race, "Pearson, Parsons, Petty". We will certainly miss his latest quote, "Que the Duck!". My thoughts and prayers go to the Parsons family.

I know he is out of the #6 in Cup, but I wonder if he will have the Jack Roush truck he dominated in when he ran last year.

Although I'm not a fan of either driver, I am saying Kahne and Stewart will each win 5 times.

This is David Poole from the charlotte observers idea.

"A driver should be given a 500-point bonus for his first win – not each win, just the first -- in the regular season and again in Chase. It would put the kind of emphasis on winning there should be in the Nextel Cup Series."

"The number scares people, but it could be 500,000 points and still have the same effect. Once two drivers have won, they’re competing against each other exactly the same way they do now. You could have 12 in the Chase and give 10 extra points for all wins and still use the bonus plan. All the bonus does is make winning the first priority for making and then winning the Chase."

Do not get me wrong, I love both Dale Sr. and Dale Jr...........but do you think that Dale Jr. has gotten to be a bigger name in news and in the public eye from what his daddy was? I know Sr was a big part of the media and always around everywhere you looked, but seems as if Jr may have passed him on that. Please dont give nothing negative, Im a huge Jr and Sr fan just askin a question.
