Absolutely. The short tracks are my favorite for a few reasons. First of all, the view for the fans is great when attending a short track race. It's really important for me to be able to see all the action at a race, like watching drivers pass cars, etc. At a huge track like Daytona, you can't see all the way around. You can only see a certain amount of race strip. But the short tracks are much better for viewing.

Also, the short tracks seem to make the drivers work harder. Being so close to other cars all through the track, the drivers don't get a chance to spread apart and have some freedom. That usually means more action on the track, like aggressive driving tactics to get around other drivers, etc. That kind of stuff really gets me excited!

I definetly hope that more short tracks come along in NASCAR or any other kind of racing. It would make racing even better than it alrady is. However, I don't count out all the other tracks. Each track has their own pros and cons. But short track is the best!

That is a definite. There is no challenge for the drivers or crews for car set-ups with all these cookie cutter tracks. I mean if the car does well at one 1.5 mile track more than likely with just a adjustment or 2 it'll work just as well if not better at the following week's 1.5 miler.

Along with more short tracks I would love to see at least one more road course and I'm putting my vote in for Laguna Seca. That is one of the most beautiful tracks in America and NASCAR doesn't utilize it. I would love to see em racing towards the corkscrew for 95-100 laps.

I persoanlly wished they would replace the road courses with short tracks...but I do like large tracks to see the teams run their fastes and passing abilities on the long stretch. But short tracks with all the difficult passing and the need for nerves of steel is great..but small pits are a huge disadvantage.

Yes! It seems that all the intermediate tracks are almost exactly the same, and the guys who succeed there therefore do fairly well in the points, even if they're terrible at other tracks.

More short tracks would be great, however from the owner's view, it could cost more money, seeing as your about 75% more likley to get wrecked.

No doubt. The cookie cutter tracks are out of control. Unless it is Atlanta there isnt a whole lot of real racing. Follow the leader is boring. Kansas, Chicago, Texas, California, and Michigan is the same race everytime. NASCAR needs to listen to the fans. More short track or no more tracks.

Definitely need to be more short tracks. That is the way racing was suppose to be. Everyone on the track gets to beat and bang for the chance to go to victory lane at the end of the day.

Yes, because 1.5 mile flat tracks are boring races, unless of course, you are in need of a snoozefest !!! LOL Personally I prefer the short tracks with all the beatin' and bangin', there's nothin' boring about that !!!

I don't care is they put in short tracks or road cousrese or what, but add something unique to the circut, or something different like maybe a 1.333 mile flat egg shaped oval kind of like Darlington's shape (but flat), or something that isn't the same old cookie-cutter track.

Yes. I would also like to see a dirt superspeedway and short track event. The cars would have to look basically like the asphault cars as in the 60s Nascar dirt races. It would be interesting to see which drivers would excel on dirt.

I agree. The short tracks are fun to watch. It's also better because of the close finishes.
