I personally am not a huge Earnhardt Jr. fan, but I do like the guy and he is kind of the Rock-n-Roller of NASCAR. I would like to see him win a Cup but does anyone believe he actually will? For those who don't like him please don't bash I just want honest opinions.

I live in Bristol and know that finding a place to stay can be a major disaster if you dont already have a reservation. Just out of curiosity I wonder how many people come in hopes of scoring a room or lodging when they get here? or does most everyone guarantee they have arrangements prior to race?

Have you all noticed the amount of "fake" questions lately? Someone is asking loads of questions (2-4 at a time and changing their names) and then they all get resolved with the same person as the best answerer. Anyway, who would you consider to be the best crew chief NOT doing it anymore (I don't just want the crew chief of your favorite driver)? Names like Evernham and Shelmerdine come to mind but I didn't follow NASCAR much in the 70's (just a kid) and 80's (didn't care at the time). Thank you to the real fans that don't have agendas but just enjoy chatting about racing.

I do not understand how NASCAR Officials are allowed to stop tires from rolling around on pit road. If the tire is left unattended the driver of that car is penalized. But if the Official stops the tire the is no penalty? Are Officials pit crew members? I first noticed this during Matt Kenneseths cup run. Then again last week with Jimmy Johnson. What gives?

If you think he'll win a race, then where, and if you think he'll make the chase, then how do you think he'll finish the season?

remember when JPM drove jeff gordons car up at indy on the road course?he did not do so hot at first, and jeff gordon was worse in the F1 car of JPM.if i remember correctly gordon was 13 seconds slower in the F1 car than schumachers time there.
now if we were to put schume in a stock car either on an oval like atlanta or bristol or at the glenn how do u think he would do?do u think he will be competitive to nascars top drivers?

Why does everyone think that TS is whining when he speaks up and says something that everyone is thinking? Why is it when other drivers saying something nobody says anything, but when TS says almost the same thing, you guys saying he is whining?

And just to let you guys know. This is how he knows what he is talking about:
4 tiime USAC Champion
1st ever USAC Triple crown
1997 IRL Champion
1999 Cup Rookie of the year
2 Time Bud Shootout Winner, 2001 & 2002
2 Time Nextel Cup Champion, 2002 & 2005
In 9 years he has had 29 wins 14 poles 108 Top 5's, and 170 Top 10's. So I think he knows what he is talking about.
I know that in the past he has done questionable things. But he is one hell of a driver. I have seen him race for years at the Chili Bowl, and he is one hell of a guy there. So we hear the bad stuff about him, they don't tell the good stuff. And there is a reason for that. Hate him or Like him, just don't call him a whiner.

Michael Waltrip is last in the Nextel Cup standings with -27 points. He missed both the California and Las Vegas races, and needs to qualify every week to race. Toyota put a lot of money into his team and NAPA is not getting the exposure on Sunday that they have a right to expect.

it was only a two tire stop and both tires starting rolling away the crew member caught one and the official in the next pit stopped the tire i thought they were supposed to let it go then penalize the team for that....which he would not have over come again..

And I am sorry.... F1sucksTHEbest, NASCARRULEZ, or whatever personality you woke up with this morning... the pink wicker basket that you carry around loaded with string and american processed cheese (to go with your whine) does not count as a tip!

In his last pit stop his pit crew let one of his tires roll outside the pit stall...but before it rolled out the NASCAR official stopped it. So, in your opinion, did Johnson deserve to win?

2007-03-13 03:21:11 · 16 answers · asked by ram_this911 3

Yea, so what about the Nascar offical not penalizing the # 48 during his last pit stop in Vegas. His car was better and he was a better driver than anyone on Sunday. Does anyone think that Johnson, Gordon, and Kyle Busch will make good on the fast Atlanta track. Personally, I DO!
