Why does everyone think that TS is whining when he speaks up and says something that everyone is thinking? Why is it when other drivers saying something nobody says anything, but when TS says almost the same thing, you guys saying he is whining?

And just to let you guys know. This is how he knows what he is talking about:
4 tiime USAC Champion
1st ever USAC Triple crown
1997 IRL Champion
1999 Cup Rookie of the year
2 Time Bud Shootout Winner, 2001 & 2002
2 Time Nextel Cup Champion, 2002 & 2005
In 9 years he has had 29 wins 14 poles 108 Top 5's, and 170 Top 10's. So I think he knows what he is talking about.
I know that in the past he has done questionable things. But he is one hell of a driver. I have seen him race for years at the Chili Bowl, and he is one hell of a guy there. So we hear the bad stuff about him, they don't tell the good stuff. And there is a reason for that. Hate him or Like him, just don't call him a whiner.

Nobody called Darrell Waltrip "whiner"when he shot off his mouth. This term has only started to be applied in recent years.I was BIG fan of "Dirty Darrell"back in his glory days, and still am.I like Tony Stewart for the same reasons. He brings an intangible to a race. You can never be really sure that he won't punt someone,it makes things exciting.I've only ever seen Tony wreck rookies that were driving like pinheads and needed to be educated. It's always made for GREAT watching and I hope he wrecks some punk soon. It's been too long between "schoolins"

That little governor that maximum folk have between their mind and their mouth is a few thing that God disregarded at the same time as he made Tony Stewart. that's sturdy (the game needs a no B.S. guy) and undesirable (each each now and then Tony has a marginally jaundiced view of the international and his position in it). i imagine all activities in contact at JGR and Toyota were nicely attentive to the ramifications of a foul 2008 earlier they signed the papers. understanding this, i imagine both JGR and Toyota are throwing each source at a efficient start up to their relationship. i know the Toyota haters may love no longer some other thing beneficial than to exhibit screen Smoke bypass storming off to RCR in 2009. like the old retaining is going....."you may desire in a unmarried hand and......." you know a few thing else. i imagine Toyota has a touch some thing for NASCAR united states in 2008.

I'm a Jeff Gordon fan .. always will be and hated Tony Stewart for the only reason...the whining!!!! You have to admit it, he was a complete A** before. I just used to get such a kick out of when he'd wreck someone on purpose, like Jeff Gordon, and then after the race would be interviewed and say "Whenever anybody DOES SOMETHING TO Jeff, he whines about it". Well, heck yeah Tony....you did it. It was not a lack of driving skills on Jeff's part. And it wasn't just Jeff....he did it to everyone.
The year after the championship win, he pulled up his socks and began to behave better. I believe Home Depot (who I boycotted before) probably sat him down and said enough was enough. All of a sudden we were innidated with programs about Tony's charity work which I for one think is great.
He has finally matured (took him longer than most guys), seems to have a nice Girlfriend and now I like him. I can see past that old whiney exterior and bad boy image and finally appreciate his driving skills, which are probably the best in NASCAR.

There was good reason to call him a Whiner...he was one...but he's now redeemed himself and has finally grown up.
I actually included him in my NASCAR pool this year.

I like Tony and I don't think he whines. In general, when a driver becomes a champion and wins, people will start to hate them. There will always be 1 person who will boo for every 2 that cheer. Don't let it get you down. Tony isn't my favorite driver, that is Casey Mears, but I like to see him win. he's a talented driver and some people can't stand it when he beats his drivers every week.

He was a whiner for his first few years in cup. He was just a cocky little kid that thought he could push everyone around. He was a serious biatch. He's changed, but not a lot. And what do the wins and championships have to do with being a whiner?

It's all in the interpretation. If you like the guy ,he's expressing his point of view.If you don't like him then he's whining.Human nature I guess. My self,I'm a BIG Tony Stewart fan,so when he talks I think he's speaking his mind. But I never liked Rusty Wallace,I've always considered him to be an arrogant ,self-centered whiner. That's the way I see it.

Tony is not my driver, but I do like him. He is very outspoken and the media plays up a lot of what he says. If speaking your mind with straight facts is whining, we sure could use a lot more of it!
