Maybe others have also realized this:
Kimi left mclaren because of its poor reliability which made him really frustrated.
Alonso joins mclaren, and suddenly mclaren turns into the renault which won last season.
Alonso won in his 2nd year with renault, which again came from nowhere.

I have to ask, do drivers have a really big influence in building their race cars, or is Alonso just lucky?

Excuse my ignorance, but if the cars are just going in a circle how do you know whos winning? I know you count the laps, but doesn't that get confusing with all of the other drivers?

Here is a NASCAR prank call video that I saw on YouTube. Warning: If you are African American you might find this video to be offensive.

why would Renault be so good last season and flop within such short time this season? what is involved in preparation for the race? It seems that a well tune car is so much more important than the driver. I am sure Louis Hamilton will not get the recognition he is enjoying if he is driving for Redbull.

I live about an hour from Indianapolis and never really noticed that the Untied States Grand Prix was racing. I only knew it was happening when I watched the news fron Indy and they were talking about it. I noticed too that there were very few people in the stands, especially compared to the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400. Does F-1 have a chance in the U.S. or should they not race here?

For years it was a procession behing Shcummy in a Ferrari, now we have Lewis and Fernado in McLarens. Before that it was Williams/Benetton.

I realise this might upset racing fans but...
Would it be more interesting if they made the starting order the reverse of the previous race and got rid of qualifying?

They are very vulnerable to the hype of black sports stars in white sports. American motor racing fans are only fascinated by Hamilton because he is black. Americans have a tendency to notice skin colour. When they see a black man in a white sport, they go: "Wow, he is the Tiger Woods of motor racing. He must be special because he is the only black guy". When they saw that incompetent black presidential candidate Barack Obama or whatever his name is, they thought he was gods gift to earth just because he was a black man.

I have news for the ignorant yanks: Hamilton isn't special. If he was so special then he would have pulled out a gap to Alonso. Ayrton Senna would have pulled out a 9 or 10 second lead to Alonso before the first pit stop. Alain Prost is one of the greatest drivers of all time, but Ayrton Senna would beat him by over a minute sometimes. Can you ever see Hamilton finishing a race 1 minute ahead of Alonso. No I didn't think so. Hamilton is good but he is no Senna

The reason Im saying this is in one of his interviews he called all the other drivers ''the monkeys behind''. They dont deserve to be called that.

Why are F1 cars so slow?? The IRL runs IMS at 240+ MpH. It's a given that is on the oval, as opposed to the road course, but they are still way over 240 at the same point that the F1 cars are barely getting to 200. The IRL cars are heavier, have fewer aerodynamic advantages, and have less horsepower. They also run smaller tires, and make less downforce (especially in speedway trim). Even the NASCAR cars can hit 200. That's pretty bad considering they weigh over twice what an F1 car does (almost 3 times as much, actually), have less than 25% of the downforce, less than 1/2 the tire width, almost 1/2 the horsepower, not to mention that they are rather "brick-shaped" compared to an F1 car. Come on, what gives?? Is it that F1's are not as technologically advanced as they claim to be, or are the drivers just too chicken to push the loud pedal all the way to the floor?????
