I was born in Kings Lynn too, but it doesn't change the fact that Martin has a massive chip on his shoulder because he was statistically the worst F1 driver over the longest period of time...158 races without a win, pole position or fastest lap! He never even led a single lap of a single race. To give some perspective, that puts him in the same rank as these greats of old: Alliot, Katayama, Ghinzani, Verstappen and Diniz.
He also resents having to put up with that know-nothing James Allen.

Hah, that's funny. I don't get the geographic slur because I'm an American, but I've heard Martin Brundle do his thing and thought, gee he sure talks a good race, too bad he never really got the hang of driving in one.

Martin was a great Racing Driver very quick and well informed. His knowledge of the sport is unserpassed along with being a very nice person. His assesments lap by lap are invaluable to the armchair viewer, along with his Starting grid chats with the drivers. He is also the only person who can handle that sometimes grumpy Bernie Eccolstone.Does it really matter where he lives.

I have to admit, I haven't been Brundle's biggest fan (i cant bear the Grid walks, it make me cringe) but i do like his drivers eye on races, he is insightful, dry witted and puts that pigging James 'GO!' Allen in his place very deftly.
i think they should let him be the 'lead' for a race, i think it would sound a lot more genuine.

Does it matter where he comes from, as long as he does the job he is paid to do--a job he obviously loves doing and can do competently? He has done things on a race track that you--just a boy from Bali--cannot even comprehend...let alone think or wish to do! Stick to your donkeys, or whatever passes for transport over there, and leave the professionals to do what they do best.
