Very sad to hear that Barbaro was put down on Monday, but wasn't this the only outcome? There is a reason why they usually euthanise horses immediatly after such a severe injury: there are just too many complications involved and you could argue that Barbaro was put through 8 months of pain for nothing. Don't get me wrong, I'm very sad that he has been put down, we were all rooting for a miracle, but surely it would have been kinder to destroy him at the time.

The World Series is played by Canada and the United States. If it was a true world series it should allow other baseball teams participate such as japanese teams. There are many countries out there that play baseball, but DO NOT participate in the World Series.

i mean he played well in only 2 matches.He ofcourse led India to a win in the last match but still there were more worthy candidates.say rahul dravid .he played wonderfully well throghout the series.and for that matter even sourav scored more runs than Sachin?Also do u thjink that rahul is always an unsung hero?

In the last world cup he was one of the 2nd highest goal scorer's & he only played in 5 matches, the highest goal scorer only scored 5 goals. Even if he doesnt play his best Ronaldo still manages to be on top, imagine he was in top form he would have scored many more goals. Ronaldo is a better striker than anyone else even in his worst form he still manages to deliver. They cant expect him to be 100% all the time. For someone who was unfit in the last world cup he still managed to become the worlds top goal scorer. I think the media is just making a storie out of nothing. If i was a coach i would take Ronaldo in any form because he is still better than any other striker doesnt matter what form he is in. I know I'm ranting but i just think the media is insulting a soccer legend by saying that he is not good anymore & the fact is he is still good, There is no other player that gets people so excited when he has the ball , I hope he plays in the next worldcup just to prove everyone wrong!

I am a karate do and have just recently had a 'crisis of faith' about my own abilities, so this weapons intrest might be a simple distraction. Anyway what are your thoughts on studying weapon arts in addition to karate? What weapons are best and why? Should I worry about someone calling the Police if I practise in the front garden?
