And why is Prince Philip a prince and not the king, along with her being the queen?

Please forgive my lack of education on the royalty. These are people that I know little of. But I thank you for your answers.

I'm talking about Queen Elizabeth II.
I keep seeing people say she is not Queen of England, but Queen of the Commonwealth or Queen of the United Kingdom.
But I always believed that she has many titles, when she is in England she is Queen of England. From New Zealander's view she is "Queen of New Zealand." etc etc for each of the 16 Countries she is Head of State in while performing duties for that country.
I checked on Wikipedia and it seems to agree with me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchy_in_New_Zealand
Can anyone else confirm this?
Also I wish people here at Answers wouldn't refer to her as The Queen, when there are other Queens in the World? eg: Queen of Denmark.

and the fine example they set when it comes to fairness [wealth sharing] and how could the goverment carry on if charles is prevented from giving his sage advice on a daily basis. We don't want an elected president do we? It hasn't got the americans very far. No we subjects in this country are far better off being lead by these fine upstanding [camilla] people.

just wondering, because the only way charles won't become king is if the queen is still alive. and comparing the queen's health to charles' health, i would say the queen has a good chance of outliving him. I mean if the queen can take plane rides, walk around jamestown, and watch a derby while eating pizza while charles is sitting in london doing nothing, then she's not going anywhere for a while. and also considering women live longer than men and charles is already starting to become senile, its a great possibility that the queen will outlive charles. i don't know about people who live/vacationed/went to college in london (please answer if you did), but i personally think charles is an old wash bag. is it really true he cheated on diana? i give him props after the funeral for convincing everyone she was a queen while everyone, including elizabeth II was basically calling her a whore, but in the end hr doesn't seem like he has a moral standard (really - who does, look at tony blair!)

I am wondering what title the children of a hereditary noble (such as a duke, earl, count, etc.) possess. I know that the children of Prince Charles of Wales also have the title of Prince of Wales (without being "the" Prince of Wales), but how is it for dukes and counts and other nobles who are not royalty? It seems hard to believe that they have no title.

Are the two belief systems fundimentally the same? They came from the same region and culture didn't they?

Or would there be a big fight for hearts and minds between the two camps?

just wondering, because I keep hearing "queen elizabeth II" but wouldn't her husband technically make him the king? and wouldn't her son be the prince? so why is her husband prince harry instead of king harry considering a prince is the son of a queen and queen elizabeth II is a queen herself! where is the king? when will there be a king of england walking around? im sorry, i don't know a lot about the british monarchy but i would think the queen's husband would be the king and prince harry's father would be the king.

Over the last thousand years or so royalty in the UK took away the people's land and wealth, then effectively enslaved us. Who were they to do this? A bunch of thugs who had armies to keep us in slavery? The French people executed or imprisoned their 'royalty' in their revolution. We let them stay in power as long as we had a people's parliament. Should we now make the ancestors of these thugs give back what they took from the people, including the royal family's wealth?
