Outside of Christina Applegate....
She has a certain vulnerability which gives the character some depth of personality.
But really, she's plays a lot of stereotypes of the 'dumb blonde'. I don't believe in that stereotype, but then the show was never meant to be serious social commentary.
I watch, I laugh, and then I put it aside knowing that my daughter (who is a good-looking blonde) is proving that stereotype wrong everyday.
So, long and short, if Kelly Bundy was scratched beneath the surface, you'd find a person worthy of being liked, loved and admired... but that ain't going to happen (the show would not be very funny then). So the character, overall, is not believable to me.
