Over the last thousand years or so royalty in the UK took away the people's land and wealth, then effectively enslaved us. Who were they to do this? A bunch of thugs who had armies to keep us in slavery? The French people executed or imprisoned their 'royalty' in their revolution. We let them stay in power as long as we had a people's parliament. Should we now make the ancestors of these thugs give back what they took from the people, including the royal family's wealth?

There is no doubt that a Monarchy in the UK is an asset and, without a Monarchy the name of the 'United Kingdom' would have to be changed. Have you thought of that?

So what 'land' would we actually take back? All land is owned or has ownership by some person, or PLC.
If 'we' recouped 'our' stolen lands, who would then take ownership? The government of the day, and they would then sell them as they felt fit, to people who would pay vast amounts of money to hold land to aid their social standing.
Just as the Royals of yesteryear did.
In my opinion, I would rather the Royals of today kept control of all of it. The government are not very good at governing, or dividing wealth equally.
