A wise psychiatrist once said, " a true insane person is one who isn't self-aware".

Logic is like clockwork. Going forward you'll never realize you're going in complete circles every second of the day.

Illogical are those who realize they're trapped forever in an endless cycle, then try to make time retrace its steps.

A true sane person is one who realizes life is a Coo-coo Clock.

~More importantly one that accepts you can never turn back time.

His epistles were written to the saints at the location he was writing to.

Does this mean that he was writing to those who were canonized after their death?

Or is the reference to those who were already in the church?

2Co 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Col 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

What was the reason for becoming an atheist? For me it was the fact that no matter how hard I tried to be a believer, I always felt like I was lieing to myself. Thankfully I wasn't raised by parents that pounded faith into me. They left the choice up to me.

Have you ever prayed for something for yourself or someone else and you actually got it?

Anecdotal evidence would be greatly appreciated.

An old preacher was dying. He sent a message for his IRS agent and his Lawyer (both church members), to come to his home. When they arrived, they were ushered up to his bedroom. As they entered the room, the preacher held out his hands and motioned for them to sit on each side of the bed. The preacher grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled and stared at the ceiling. For a time, no one said anything. Both the IRS agent and Lawyer were touched and flattered that the old preacher would ask them to be with him during his final moment.

They were also puzzled because the preacher had never given any indication that he particularly liked either one of them.

Finally, the Lawyer asked, "Preacher, why did you ask the two of us to come?"

The old preacher mustered up some strength, then said weakly, "Jesus died between two thieves, and that's how I want to go, too.

They say that EVOLUTION only occurs in living things. A vegetable is a living thing, therefore it could EVOLVE into a monkey? Is there scientific proof?

2007-12-28 09:33:59 · 21 answers · asked by Anonymous

Supposing that Adam and Eve were our first of ancestors. And writers of the bible didn't know about Homo Erectus, Homo Habilis, Neanderthal, or Homo Ergaster. (Because technology to discover this back then did not exist) How can it be disproved that Adam and Eve did not pertain to a prehistoric human race? Keep in mind that consiousness was gathered from the tree. Did the tree make the transition between unconscious beings and create the start of conscious beings? If so then Adam and Eve would have been born of one race, and slowly begun the transformations of future of races.

What if both science and religion could come together on this subject. After all, You can't disprove Creationism if the biblical writers did not have proper understanding of the elements within evolution. In this case Evolution doesn't disprove Creationism, only creates a potential for understanding ignorance amongst biblical writers.

Any opinion on why this isn't plausible?

The clue to the puzzle is:

1. A nihilist never loses because he has nothing to lose.
2. A priest never loses because the Bible never lies.
3. An atheist is living proof that you can exist without religion or philosophy.

One pretends to know why humanity was made.
The other pretends it doesn't matter.

Both filled with an equal balance of fallacy.

I may be insane, but as a nihilist it's obvious I never lose a thing.

What? I'm meaningless? Aren't we all? You're a slave to the clock babe, tick, tock....tick, tock...

1. Logical: it's all we got.
2. Illogical: we've got nothing
3. We have everything and it amounts to nothing.
4. We are nothing therefore have nothing.

A) Logic is corrupt. It's foundation is the hearts and minds of men. (ironically, just like theists)
B) We question everything except reality and don't require a proven existence. So illogical. What is the meaning of humanity?
C) All the tinsel toys in the world matter not. Death keeps all, including the world itself.
D) When the beginning of time meets it's future / death, did we ever exist?

Do you think that when we die.. we go to heaven or hell.. or purgatory...or just roam the earth. with our souls?? and if u think one of these why?? Why would we go to heaven when we die if the bible says that when Jesus comes for the rapture that he'll get all the dead souls in him. and the believers of the church..[that are alive when he comes] to meet in the sky... why then, would we go to heaven when we die. if we're going to meet with him in the sky????

considering the following.

Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

You believe there is no God, but I do, along with heaven and hell. You believe we all become worm food and nothing else. Now, wouldn't an intelligent and logical person convert to christianity simply because he/she has nothing to lost, but everything to gain. After all you might be wrong. you cannot tell me you have never made a mistake in your life, even after you were 100% sure you made the right decision. Then find out later, your decision was wrong.
