RICH @www.hvac-for-beginners, Satan is being held by Michael in heaven. And has been since Christ told satan " get thee hence" in the desert. Michael is also keeping satan from taking over heaven by force.
Satan’s spirit, just as the Holy Sprit, is here, but De facto he is not.

crash, At the 6th seal, 6th trump, 6 vial, Michael will boot satan from heaven to earth (Revelation Chapter 12-6-9). Until then, satan's being held in heaven. Only his spirit roams freely.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world (satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
When the Bible uses a little "g" god, it is always referring to demons or devils or satan.
"Now the serpent (satan) was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made." Genesis 3:1
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:8
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you (Jesus), than he that is in the world (satan)." 1 John 4:4

The god of this world is Satan. Ephesians 2: 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
The gospel of Christ is the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ came to earth as a man so He could die for the sins of the world. He die for your sins He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. Believe and trust in what He did for you. He is the Almighty God. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Satan is the ruler of this earth and boy has he ever blinded the minds of men. Sorry, but Michael never put Satan behind bars. He will not be put into bondage until Jesus comes back to take this Earth back.

The god of this world refers to satan. GOD cast him out of heaven and his demons are roaming the earth to try to take us away from GOD. The good news is that in the end satan and his demons is cast into hell for eternal punishment.

Satan.
The devil has the current control of this world.
Luke 4:5
Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
Those that are not under God are under the devil's domain...
1 John 5:19
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
But one day soon, that will all change when Satan is cast out as the usurper he is.
Revelation 11:15
There were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
...and the healing will begin.
Revelation 22:2
The leaves of the tree [of life] were for the healing of the nations.

Satan is the god of the earth he has a demonic following working continually to blind the minds of unblievers. If you don't believe in Satan then you have no defences against his sly machinations. He can toss your life around and cause you much grief and you don't recognize it .We need Jehovah and Christ in our lives to protect us from Satans hateful trials.Prayer is our first line of defence against the angel of light, he works at keeping us in the dark and making himself appear appealing. The bible tell us all about him and his fast approaching demise.[www.watchtower.org]

The "god of this world" is Satan (the fallen angel Lucifer). In the NIV it is translated as "the god of this age". It's talking about the Devil's attempts to lead unbelievers away from salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
