'his little tricks he performed'? it couldnt have been that hard to fool people of 2000 years ago, look at chris angel, he does it with the aid of no technology (hardly) and its even video taped and people believe he can levitate.

'because he died for our sins' that doesnt prove that he is the son of god, i could do that.

Ive got to admit - Ive never been a fan of your fundamentalism. And, I cant wrap my head around how you consolidate your recent remarriage with your faith (I thought Born Agains dont get divorced...)

However, I cannot stand to see these flagrant clones and imposters on this site. So, just thought I would let you know, and give you this link:

who *sigh* when you ask a perfectly legitimate question about one of their religion's glaring contradictions.

It's like the expect the rest of us to understand their inane apologetics!

My neighbours are Hare Krishna and they put food out in the corner of the garden which rots and stinks and attracts vermin (mice, rats, foxes, flies, wasps etc).
I know all creatures deserve respect but I am worried about the human health issues.
If I ask them to stop they'll think I'm anti Hare Krishna, what should I do?

What if...tomorrow... ALL the Bibles in the world disappeared?

This should be interesting to see what the opinions are from believers and non-believers alike. ;-)

He will be despised and rejected. All we like sheep have gone astray and the Lord will make to light on Him the iniquity of us all. He will lay down his life as an atonement for sins. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich. He will see his seed and prolong his day. vs 10

Genesis 3:15 God speaking to the devil "And I will put inemity between your seed and her seed, (Satan does not have an physcal offspring-it is spiritual)

Psalm 22:30 "A seed shall serve him, it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation." speaking also of the Messiah in this Messianic Psalm

in Isaiah it is apparent that this one that makes atonement for our sins dies before the 10th verse therefore he prospers in those that believe -and they are accounted as his seed.

He said 'except you be born again, not of the water but of the spirit, repenting from sin, you can not see the kingdom of heaven.' John 3

I am His seed-repented and let Him into my heart-friend

I was baptised and illumed by the Holy Spirit a few days ago after I read the New Testament with spiritual eyes and an open heart. It's not something I consiously asked for, although I feel and know a profound change in my heart. All I know is when it happened, I was happier than I'd ever known, I cried with happiness, I laughed involuntarily, and I got on my knees and thanked God profusely. I find people less irritating, myself less judgemental, and more full of love. It is now my challenge as a mere human to remain in this Light, Truth and follow the Way. I am no longer a Roman Catholic but a Gnostic Christian, I did not agree with many teachings of the Church anyways. I plan to be rebaptised as a Gnostic as soon as I can find a similar church in my area.

Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks!

I am the fake laptop jesus, har har, it was a funny joke...

Anyway, just didn't want to be a d**k and ruin someone's Y!A life, so there you go.

From what I've been able to gather, it looks like laptop_jesus is the real one. She's still level one and sent me a rather nice-hearted message (where she complimented me for my wit in impersonating her) asking if I wouldn't mind stepping down. Anyway, it seems like she's the real one.

Say something humorous and I'll choose you for the 10 points. No sense in wasting a question right?

Deuteronomy 3:3 So the LORD our God also gave into our hands Og king of Bashan and all his army. We struck them down, leaving no survivors.

Joshua 6:2 Then the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.

6:24 Then they burned the whole city and everything in it

Joshua 8:1 Then the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land.

And my personal favourite:

Judges 11:30 And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD : "If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."

And sure enough God helped again in yet another war, even though this man would later keep his promise of a burnt sacrifce. The sacrifice?

The city I live in used to have a "cross busing" program to promote intergration in the school system. It ultimately failed...our city is still segregated among racial and class lines...

But what if there was a cross busing program for churches? For example a baptist church in a poor neighborhood traded a few members from a rich neighborhood and vice versa? Not just to bring a little extra money in for impoverished churches, but to help with the social networking aspect of it. The poor people would get to know people who have access to decent employers where they could get reccomendations...

Do you think the people in your church would go for it or would be afraid to participate?

You have no vote in heaven. Unlike here in Yhe United States or in any democratic country, Heaven is ruled by a dictator called GOD. Is the radio station tuned to one type of music that is or will you be aloud to Rock Out? Are all songs going to be sung to him about him for him? What really gets me is that democracies have become a great way for mankind to gain advantage in the world. For the people to have a voice together, united in their efforts. If however you do not like what God has done then at the threat of death or eternal hellfire I will pay. What don't I like? I wanted to see God overcome his ego, forgive sAtAn his transgression, admit that not all that glitters is gold, and to stop filling people with hope for things that will not possibly come to fruition. But then I realized that MAN was Gods creator and that he could use this power to control people that were 2 weak to admit that ONLY THEY COULD MAKE HEAVEN ON EARTH. So we all burn
