I was baptised and illumed by the Holy Spirit a few days ago after I read the New Testament with spiritual eyes and an open heart. It's not something I consiously asked for, although I feel and know a profound change in my heart. All I know is when it happened, I was happier than I'd ever known, I cried with happiness, I laughed involuntarily, and I got on my knees and thanked God profusely. I find people less irritating, myself less judgemental, and more full of love. It is now my challenge as a mere human to remain in this Light, Truth and follow the Way. I am no longer a Roman Catholic but a Gnostic Christian, I did not agree with many teachings of the Church anyways. I plan to be rebaptised as a Gnostic as soon as I can find a similar church in my area.

Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks!

The Light, Truth and Way that Jesus Christ is! This is why I felt a twinge in my heart and literal "devil horns" pop out on my forehead when I even spoke of doing something carnal and sinful. It didn't feel good that's for sure, and I don't think I'll be doing what I thought I was going to!

Lotta: Gnostic Christians DO believe in Jesus Christ, he is in fact my Saviour. He is the Light, the Truth, and the Way, and I found it through Him. I searched and found, was lost and found. I also believe that He was raised from the dead: The dead spirit, into Life, thus yes, he victored over death, which is sin. What Gnostics don't believe, however, is the physical resurrection, although yes, his blood was spilled for Us in that the New Covenant may be fulfilled.

Gnostics don't believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who shed His own blood for the remission of our sins and raised from the dead, victorious over death.

Heart faith in these foundational beliefs and confessing Jesus Christ ones Lord, is the way to be born of God, Gods Way.

Though you write that you have a new heart, Gnostics don't believe that.

What do you believe Gnostics believe?

I think you meant to say "are there any agnostic;s out there ?
But anyhow I get your meaning, I wish I felt something like that I feel I am missing out spiritually. But to answer you I have not ever felt that , but wanted to feel that
I have tried the "whole asking "God" for help on my knees thing when I was younger .. I do however believe in a higher power I just do not know if that is the "God I think of in the traditional Christian sense.
But i am happy that you felt this in your life .. good luck or in your case God Bless
