I mean, I'm a theist, but come on, I keep up with the best of you in trashing theistic hubris and ignorance.

Will muslims constantly try to force their religion on us, do we have to fight and beat them to prove islam is useless? Won't islam be very unpopular if it pits itself against the whole civilized and developed world? What do they offer us, a relapse into the dark ages?

Why would God slay his only begotten son for my supposed sins? Why create sin at ALL? Should he have to prove himself in text if he exists? I certainly don't believe he (she, it) would create humankind so that everyone can try to live up to him and fail. Do you think a god-figure would accept only believers, regardless of their bad deeds? Wouldn't he (she, it) open paradise to all and sundry? From the beginning.

I was reported for my original post of this question. A number of answerers seemed to find my question worthy of a diagnosis, so let me be straight: I am not depressed or despairing. I am also not being hostile, but I do find that is an accusation made often when someone does not have an answer. I am agnostic. I believe there may very well be an energy in this world that is beyond our knowledge. I am also a humanist. Would my serving humankind compassionately and respectfully not be "enough" for ANY god?

I think we have a responsibility for our children, grandchildren(and so on) to make progress like the people before us did, shouldn't we replace ideology with critical thinking?

Archaeological evidence suggests we (homo sapiens) shared the planet with at least 2 other human-like creatures (homo erectus and neanderthal), that is, our existences overlapped here on earth. Somehow we won the lottery and avoided extinction.

If we descended from a common ancestor, as science believes, how does the fundamentalist creationist get around the fact that 3 different species of humans existed at the same time? Or that we wre last to appear on the scene?

Curious about your thoughts. Thanks.

Most actresses are white, yet a vast quantity of the actors are blacks, jews, and arabs. It would seem that it is their intention to figuratively stick it to the white man by violating their daughters, and the porn industry knowingly does this to attack White Christian America.

out of all the beliefs and religions in the world, which one makes sense in the scheme of man, the one that actually makes sense of the way mankind evolved and is living?

"I'm trying to stop others from believing" lol yeah right...I'm sure you are so civic minded. I have no probem with atheists that ask intelligent honest questions but that is far in the minority. Looking at the facts and posts it is very plain they are searching for something but keeping it disguised with a "tough" attitude. What do you think?

Instead, you tell us that Jesus hates us, that God himself hates us, that our souls will be torn by Satan himself, and that we do not deserve to live.

There was a Christian (who changed his screen name to Brian J Warner, or something like that) who said that he wanted to KILL atheists and watch them burn in hell. Yet few Christians scolded him. Some even agreed with him, saying "amen!"
