Without having the real Christ within, all is vain. You can see we do stand on the shoulders of our forefathers. Taking what was revealed to them to go on. To progress from the Dark Ages to Lutheranism and beyond. The Bible unlocks itself. Critical thinking, ideology, philosophy are all in man but looked at as foolishness by the Lord. Why waste that time?

To allow my children to think that there is nothing more to the world than what they see, hear and touch is the epitome of arrogance on my part, for I do not know if my senses can always be trusted, although God can be. Ideologies instigate the journey to discovery. To think that there are limits on that discovery turns my life into ashes in my mouth.

By the time a religion evolves into steadfast dogmas, it is beginning to stagnate and die. There is a freedom, acceptance and love that thrives in its earlier days.
