did you know the word itself means to reunite man and God?

From Religare
Re-connection to the divine–from Latin re (again) + ligare (to connect, as in English ligament).

A lot of research shows that scientists are much more likely to be atheists than the population at large, especially biologists. (Ironic, since wouldn't God have to be a scientist?)

So Christian mamas should you let your babies grow up to be scientists.

The same thing could hold for college too, since college-educated people are less likely to believe in God. (Also ironic since God would surely have more than a high school education himself)

Atheists, Agnostics, and all Non-Believers.

Why do Oranges, Apples, Bananas, and Peaches taste good?

How do trees know to produce fruit that taste good, so as people and animals will eat it, and spread their seeds? How would a tree even know there would be any animals to eat their fruit?

If you answer Nature, who made Nature?

Why does it have to taste good? Why not taste super bad? Ahd why do we taste anything?

What is my point? You say there is no higher power, I say there is.

My EX father-in-law, told me it was ok, because it was his culture! I am a Christian, not a Jew.

It all started when I was little and I was molested on several occasions by someone who was close to me (who has now passed away) I have since then try my best to live as a straight, heterosexual person,
but I cannot deny that I have homosexual desires in me.
While I don’t know if I am homosexual because I was molested or if I was born that way, this is not the crisis of faith I am having here. I know that it is god’s command to not live that way and no matter the “reason” I am to live in live in his will. My faith in god is too strong to have homosexual desires separate me from god.
But here is crisis of faith:
About 4 months after the molestation stopped I started to have this re-occurring dream where I was on this mountain and I could hear jesus’s voice calling my name. Each time I would follow his voice calling me and eventually I would find him and when I walked up to we would sit there
and I would talk to him about all kinds of things, like how my life had been going

It reads,"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

What does it mean, "a falling away" Does this mean there will be Christians falling away from Jesus Christ?

I have been a Christian for many years, and this has always puzzled me.

Let's talk about development aid.

The nations of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), made up of the developed nations of the world, have committed to providing a certain level of development assistance to underdeveloped countries. This is given by governments on certain concessional terms, usually as simple donations.

Expressed as a percentage of GNI, Norway's contributions are in the lead at 0.87%, Sweden and Holland are runners-up with 0.78% and 0.77%. Three countries with a government based on non-religious grounds. Three countries where the majority of the people is atheist or agnostic.

The USA is the lowest contributor in the OECD with 0.16%. George Bush made huge efforts over the last years to make this number as low as possible.

How is this a Christian thing to do?

(I'm not bashing Americans here, I know many of you are very generous people, I'm just wondering about this...)

How can you say that having sex with a beast is wrong according to Old Testament but then say eating pork is okay and ignoring that? How do you explain when Jesus said that Scripture cannot be broken, yet you can break it? (By the way all that was around then was the Old Testament) How can you read the old testament if you think some of it doesn't matter anymore, how can you tell what does and what doesn't?

Before you answer the question, consider the following argument:

* if god really exists in the first place, why does he defy then the history of Earth in relation to the human and development

* if god created humans and the earth, that means there is someone higher than him because someone had to create him

* finally, why is god only recorded by humans when there is a vast amount of life out there
