Just curious on the idea behind this. If a soul is energy then how does it feel pain? Are we able to kick the sh*t out of electricity and it will hurt it? Makes no sense to me.

The New Testament rest its claim for validity upon the person, character, work, promises, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. The Bible stands or fall on Jesus existence. The fact that Jesus lived in history now defies any resonable doubt. In addition to the New Tesatment record, the most reliable ancient secular sources attest that Jesus lived! The arugment of His Diety is another thing all together. The existence of Christianity itself offers proof of Jesus existence. I have been to Israel, the Bible is correct, geographicaly, historically, and offers acurate genealogy of different biblicl personalities. So why dont we believe all of the Bibles other claims? Not one archeaological find has ever contradicted the Bible. The Bible never argues for the existence of God. It starts off in the beginning God! like Gods existence is already known! The Bible is not written to try an convince someone that the events are true. It is written from a historical perspect

I hold up my hands and say I generally focus on the negatives of religion; due to previous bad experiences.

However, why has society turned it's back on religion and it's follwers? Should we more focus on the positives of religion? Just becuase science has led people to be more sceptical, should we not focus on the positive work relgions do, for example, christian aid even though we may not believe the religion's core messages?

We all want peace on earth, but what does it mean, really? What is the practical reality of a peaceful world? What does it look like in your opinion?

I've been thinking lately about religion. A thought that came to my mind is "Is Christianity the only way to Heaven (whatever Heaven may be)?" And I thought...either it is, or it isn't (I know, genius, eh?) If Christianity is not the only way, then there is no need for warring between religions. There is no need to try and convert people, only to share your views and insights to help others develop their views. If Christianity is the only way, then we have a major problem. People in African tribes who have not heard about Jesus will go to Hell. All for the reason that they never had the opportunity. The only way they have the opportunity is for missionaries to go and share Christianity with them. But it is just not possible to reach all tribes of people. So for our failure to reach everybody, those people must suffer eternal Hell. I can understand God sending people to Hell for rejecting him, as it is a cause and effect...crime and punishment situation. (continue)...

The UK government refused to acknowledge the "JEDI" as a real religion due to the fact that they had no official places of worship (2001 official cencus).

400,000 people (me included - tho i'm really a sith) put JEDI as their religion, making it the 4th highest religion in the UK, ahead of Buddhist, sikh etc.

The jedi dont need a place of worship, the force is everywhere anyway (whats the point of sitting inside - they always trying to get people outside anyway).

What are your opinions? If you believe in other religions, would greatfully accept answers, but please make them relevent to this question and not THERE IS ONLY THE TRUE GOD etc.

Thank you all for answering.

People who don't believe in God?Most of them try to tell eveybody their stupid and need to get a life.I don't know why they think they are so great.
or
Do you think people who are way too religious are worse? You know the ones who love to criticize and brainwash others into there beliefs.I really can't stand the ones who can never just say what they are thinking, but instead sound like they are reading off of something.
