I had a religion class where the prof impressed upon us that the sense of it was "An eye for an a, a tooth for a tooth, *and no more.*" I believe you should face up to the just consequences of your actions, though yes, sometimes I really just do want to hurt someone in revenge.

Vengeance is mine saith the Lord! I really don't have time to plan any sort of revenge on those I may feel actually deserve it. It's easier to forgive and let God handle all the rest.

So many times I would have liked to kick the s**t out of some a**hole for one thing or another. But, God says "Vengeance is mine." I must live with that.

the bible says, god is a vengeful god.god seeks vengeance. meh depends on the situation, u hit me i hit u back eye for eye. u do something harsh to me, ima do it back to you out of vengeance. (start my house on fire, kill my loved one, rape a loved one. forgive me if i kill you...)

I'm an athiest- but the christian value of forgiveness is a pretty good one.
