The most recognized symbol for the US , after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran , the Islamic holy book:
"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle.
The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."
That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran

teachings are false. Does that include teachings like:

OBEY LAWS, even inconvenient ones, like speed limits when late for work;
PAYING TAXES, rather than claiming religious exemption;
KEEPING THEIR WORD, like to the IRS on not promoting politics in church;
TEACHING YOUTH to wait until marriage instead of having sex for fun and just using protection;
TREATING YOUTH with respect, and not just a "do what you're told!" attitude;
TEACHING YOUTHS the whole Bible, and not just Bible stories, right along side parents;
NOT LETTING INDIVIDUALS get lost in the crowd of an oversize church;
EVERYONE is taught the same, making it easier to start a new congregation, with a set of elders;
MAKING sure every member is evacuated in a natural disaster, such as in Katrina, and not mostly the good contributors;
THAT KINGDOM HALLS compliment neighborhoods, lacking large and expensive decorative features;
HONESTY FIRST. Ask 1000 movie stars theiremployee's religion and see what they say the most

why is it that God would allow bad things to happen in our lives, from which, i think our madness actually comes from our pain...? Like the saying "misery loves company". when a person have never experienced same pain, he or she would pray that no one be in a bad situation. but when it had happened to him/her, he/she wont even be bothered to pray for his/her fellow bec he/she thinks its a normal part of life - madness...!

Faith doesn't do us any good if we don't obey. Being baptized is obedience. Acts says to repent and be baptized in the [NAME] of Jesus Christ [demons run at the mention of that name]. So is it fair to the people getting baptized if the preacher baptizes them saying Father,Son and Holy Ghost [titles]?Demons don't leave when they hear the titles. After you got baptized did you get the Holy ghost like Acts 2 verse 38 says.

What is terrorism exactly? The Canadian Winston Dictionary defines terrorism as follows;

“...to fill with great alarm and fear; reduce to a state of terror; to govern by methods which arouse terror...”

We have seen throughout history many examples of terrorists and terrorism, for instance, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the New England Witch Hunts, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, the IRA, the Ku Klux Klan, Timothy McVeigh, David Korresh and Milosovich, just to name a few. The evil actions of those mentioned speak for themselves, with the crimes they perpetrated against humanity. Sadly, today, terrorism continues at a feverish pace, with no end in sight. Another sad fact is that the word “Terrorism” has somehow become synonymous with the word “Muslim”. The religion of Islam is being presented by certain media and religious groups as a religion of war and violence. The term “Islamic Fundamentalists” seems to be the in vogue catch phrase when it comes to describing the actions of a misguided few. However, when one examines the true meaning of the word “Fundamentalist”, you will realize that the Fundamentals of Islam do not conform to the actions of terrorists. Quite the contrary, Islam is a religion whose fundamental teachings pertain to peace and understanding and it is these True Qur'anic teachings that I wish to explore here, Insha'Allah(God Willing). It is sad to think that whenever a crime is committed by a Muslim, the religion of Islam is put on trial. If we were to follow that analogy, and considering that, with the exception of Lenin, Stalin and Pol Pot, all the above mentioned individuals and groups were Christian or from a Christian background, is it right to blame all Christians and the religion of Christianity for the crimes committed by these terrorists? And considering that the fathers of communism were all Jewish or of a Jewish background, would it be proper and fair to blame all Jews and the religion of Judaism for the evils of communism? No, it is not right and just the same, to blame all Muslims and the religion of Islam for the crimes committed by terrorists is equally wrong

recently someone asked can you be gay and christian at the same time? and i was reading all the different responses and it seems that the christians cant come to an agreement. half say you can be gay and christian at the same time because god accepts everyone, god is loving, bla bla bla. the other half says NONONO!! its still "unchristian" like...bla bla bla.

if your all in the same religion worshiping the same god, teachings, and book...why cant there be a single same response? doesnt that mean the teachings of christianity contridict one another? or does that mean everyones just saying thier opinion according to what they want to think using religion as a way to justify themselves?

My husband just told me he wants to be a rabbi. We've been married six years, and not once have we participated in anything that has to do with Judiasm. I thought the he felt the same as I did, that it was a big waste of time. Has he gone totally nuts? Or this just a big joke?

I have been a Born-Again Christian for the last 20 years. I have now arrived at the point where none of it makes any sense at all and I am considering adopting atheism. It will be difficult to tell my immediate friends and family but I feel that the time is right for me to grow up and accept the reality of life and death. Your views?
