Hehehe, well then I'm still full of demons! My parents thought I should make my own choice. And good on them.

Well, I don't think you can get the Holy Spirit without having faith first. I also think that the only baptism that counts is by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which can only be sent by God. The gift of the Holy Spirit comes after acknowledgment and repenting. It is God's answer to a person with a true and repentant heart. God can read hearts and minds. That is why so many people are running around who claimed they were Christian because they had been water baptized, but now are atheists. The reason is because they never received the Holy Spirit because God knows all hearts and minds and He chose not to send His Spirit to them.
I have been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I know I have been sent the Holy Spirit by God, but it was years later (after the water baptism). It didn't happen at the same time. I have had 2 instances of direct contact (in the same room) with a real demon. Both times I did as Jesus said to do. "The Lord Jesus Christ, rebukes you, Be Gone!" They were gone quicker than I could finish the sentence.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
edit* A true Christian cannot be demon possesed, they have the Holy Spirit in them.

There are two baptisms for a Christian. One is baptism in water (in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) where the believer identifies himself with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The other is the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the believer ending up speaking in tongues. Acts 2;38,39 refers to baptism of the Holy Spirit. A Christian cannot be possessed by demons because the Holy Spirit comes and lives in his spirit after he is saved. But demons can oppress and harm the Christian's soul and/or body if they do not know their authority and blessings in Christ.

Hmmm...
Demons don't "run" at the mention of the name "Jesus", actually they giggle. Christians use the name "Jesus" as a shield, but tissue paper offers more protection. Which is why so many exorcisms go wrong with either the priest or the possessed or both end up getting hurt.
There is only one Name that people are to call on, one Name by which one is saved, one Name that demons flee from all the time -
the Name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

depends on what version u r reading. N I V says the holy spirit, and
N K J V also says holy spirit. Christ is a spirit, not a ghost. He is that spirit we feel within our heart, our thoughts, and we (those of us who accept Jesus Christ), just know without explanation that he lives within us. Ever done something wrong and you knew within yourself, your heart, and your spirit, that it was wrong? That's the spirit of Christ within us saying "not good". Ever hear some punk rapper in the car next to you, and all you hear from the message of the music is filth,-- (and your soul cringes, and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up)?-- That's the spirit of Christ within you wanting to get away from it.
So, when someone is baptized in the holy spirit (full immersion) is saying to Christ "I have spiritually died to the old me, that the filth of this world no longer exists within me, but I have risen alive in Christ, and I no longer accept what this world has to offer me.
Yeah, I would say I "got the holy spirit", and nothing can compare to it. Just remember--"bad things happen to good people" because of mans transgression upon himself. God is love. (Try the book of
1 John)

Its good to be baptized in the name of Jesus and I was. But how do you explain Matthew 28;19? Come on now, we have to read all the Bible not just the parts we like.

what's the Hebrew observe translated 'rested' and what's a literal translation of that observe? The observe is ?????? which wisely translates give up, or desist. it may also be translate into the further colloquial relax (as in provide it a relax - meaning give up or desist). So interpreting in context and utilising a literal translation. And on the seventh day God ended his artwork which he had made. and he ceased on the seventh day from all his artwork which he had made. put in words even someone with your restricted questioning skills can understand, He stopped growing stuff on the seventh day. the position is that pothole again?

It takes work, strength, and self realization to chase away demons. Demons are usually traumas. God only helps those who help themselves.
Be curious.
