There was an answer in folklore that said that Pres. Bush had declared that Wicca wasn't a real religion. Did he really say that? Does anyone know where this information came from originally?

The word God seems to be completely diverse, when ever I look one way, and then look the next. Some say he does not exist, but who can truley say something invisable does not exist? And then again who can truley say something invisable does exist? Although seemingly some will even say: God is not invisable you can see him in the trees, and feel him in the breeze. There seems to be so many ideas of what he is. With the word God comes other principles, hence every one will disagree even in the same religion.
So I ask those that care, "what do you think of God," O and please with out telling me what the bible says. You may not believe this but the bible is not entirly true.
That's why I want your perceptive, on that which is true to you, and not what something tells you is true.
Thank you.

Throughout the course of questioning whether or not the devil is responsible for dispensing punshment in hell, Christians seem to reach a consensus that it is GOD, not Satan, who controls hell. If Satan were in control of hell, he would have to be an instrument of God. Just like a prison guard has to have allegiance to the judge in a human legal system. Criminals aren't prison guards.

One person stated that "the devil is in solitary confinement in hell." You may or may not agree with this statement.

A concept of punishment or confinement in hell would seem to mean that the devil is RESTRICTED from many, if not all activities, as any criminal in the human legal system.

If the devil is "IN HELL," how does he obtain the power of omnipresence, being able to be multiple places or all places at the same time -- OUTSIDE of hell and on Earth?!?!?!

It would seem that the devil is not really in hell, but EVERYWHERE. Does he float out of hell occasionally and then get sent back?

I am being 100% honest when I say this. The voice inside my head tells me that there is no hell and christians are very confused. The voice in my head tells me to treat people right and also tells me no father would test his child and let them be tortured if they fail. what do you make of this?

Let's say there have been around 10,000 Gods throughout world history.

Atheists deny 10,000 of them, Christians deny 9,999 of them. That's a difference of 0.01%. How can 0.01% divide two groups like this, in such an enormous way?

What is your understanding of blind faith? As a Catholic, should one have blind faith? If so, how do you help someone who has lost it? For example; if I belive that Moses did actually build an arc and saved his family and others from the flood but question if God told him to do so, is this not having blind faith?

Why should a non-believer burn in Hell for not trusting the Christians and the Bible? The world is full of lies. To live without doubt is morbidly naive.

I read a question from a poster that asked "Would you still worship Jesus if he were black?"

But, I believe that if we are walking as we are to as Christians, people should see Jesus in us.

So that would mean Jesus is black or white or brown or whatever, since we are made in his image, He becomes what we show the world.

What do you think.

I'm baptised United Methodist but recently I've been finding that I don't get anything except boredom from a UMC service and that I find I feel more spiritually moved by a Catholic mass. The thing is, is that I was told by one person I couldn't recieve Holy Communion because I was Methodist but another person said my baptism was honoured so I COULD receive Communiun. BASICALLY, I feel really uncomfortable about all of the rules surrounding this whole Eucharist thing and I need someone to explain it in layman's terms before I tread on someone's toes unknowingly.

you act like non belivers say to themselves "screw god, I want to be tortured forever" People simply live their lives, and since it is different than how you (christians) were raised, it is you pushes hell in our faces. God is not giving me a choice. If he stood before me and told me the ways I would obey his every command and so would every non-christian on this planet. But it is not God who is talking to me. It is you(christians). And why should I believe you? WHAT DID YOU EVER DO TO DESERVE MY TRUST OR ANYONE ELSES. All you have done is told me unbelievable stories with a close minded attitude. You are not my god and have not earned my trust. When god tells me himself what he wants of me I will obey and so will any other non christians. So dont tell me I have chosen to not follow god, I have chosen not to follow you. and once again you are not god. And people of 2000 years ago i have zero trust in so the book they wrote is from them, not god.

i had previously asked 'if god is on our side then god is a joker asleep at the wheel while his children fall over'which was actually just a reference to a song
'everybody's gone to war' by nerina pallot(great video by the way)
however some of the answers made me think .People saying we are in charge of our own destiny ,we are the ones driving.
I went to a roman catholic school, and attend church almost daily, although these days churches are only for weedings and funerals and i am pretty sure of a greater being. However what about children being hurt/abused,murdered who is in charge of their destiny?Doe's god think it's ok for them to suffer?I don't want to piss the big guy off but why does he allow needless suffering all over the world by the innocents.Saw a program last night on feral children why big man, why?????
