You have to look at why he gives you the creeps. If you ever saw the Passion of the Christ it would change your mind about who he is.

Jesus not only loves you, he gave his life for you. Its a fact that you will sin lots of times during your life. Because God is a just being, your sins must be paid for. Jesus has paid for your sins. You just have to accept that, accept his gift of justification.

And y'know what? He loves YOU too. So much so that if you were the only person on earth, He would have still gone to the cross and died for you.
