Just as the angles were not recognized as angles in Genesis 19 (Sodom and Gomorrah) perhaps our very own Jim is an angel. What about the checker in the grocery store or the kid that mows your lawn. Are you treating them in such a way where you are assured of not having burning sulfur dumped on you head?

Just a thought...

I just want to make sure I'm understanding who's fault it is that Steve Irwin was murdered by an evil sting-ray, as opposed to just swimming along side it in peaceful harmony with nature. Was it possed by a demon purhaps? What are your theories? I think he just got too close to an example of a creature that has evolved to protect itself to survive. But, I respect that you might have a different opinion. Please share it here.........

Or do you just trust that he knows better, or has a plan for you other than answering that specific prayer?

one day every knee will bow at the foot of Jesus. God will throw all Muslims and Mohamed, atheists, pagans, heathens, Buddhists, and the dali lamma into the lake of fire. all those who have not repented of their sins will be throw in. all those who have set themselves up as gods and their folowers will be thrown in.

you can escape this eternity in hell very simply, just accept jesus today

As a Religion major in college, we were constantly asked not to use the Bible to support our answers for questions, because we were trying to expand our research to include other sources. I get frustrated when people just answer questions with scripture, because it seems that they blindly believe what is in the Bible without questioning it. What is so wrong with questioning the Bible?

Was Jesus sinless from birth, or was it once he was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist? I know the Bible says that Jesus was 100% sinless, but from what point?

Serious answers please, this is a serious question.

For me, when I was a Christian, I was told believing in Evolution meant I wasn't saved. To this day there are Christians I talk to who tell me if I believe in Evolution than I am not saved, having to do with the blood line of Adam and Eve going down through to Jesus.

Currently I am an agnostic, happy to sit on the sidelines.

So, to those of you who are Christians, how does it make you feel, seeing the Creationist Christian defend Christianity by attacking Evolution?

Again for me this is I admit a personal story, that the Creationist drove me away from being a believer, perhaps this is all for the good in the end.

So what then is the view of a lesbian marridge that ends in divorce? Is that doubley-tripley wrong or do the wrongs cancel each other out, and the lesbians can go back to heaven?

I personally suspect that thought is a particulate force like gravity and that the sum total of the collective thoughts are what we call "God." As such, the power of "prayer" and "magic," ESP, "ghosts," precognition, and even telekinesis could be explained scientifically. This really IS just a theory (unlike, say, evolution), so I'm not trying to convince anyone of it, but do you have something in mind that, if true, would explain your belief in God scientifically?

What is it about Evolution vs Creationism that in every single debate Evolution always wins? Even the 1920 Scopes Monkey Trial, despite the $100 fine, culturally Evolution won.

Evolution has been winning and will continue to win.

Is it because people who believe in Creationism have still not to this day produced one single piece of credible scientific empirical evidence?

Some of mine are:

It's only a theory!
The second law of thermodynamics makes evolution imposisble.
The probabilities are too high for a full DNA strand to suddenly come into existance.

What are your favorites?

Please, this question is only for people who have an actual understanding of the theory of evolution.
If you don't understand why the above statements are false, don't bother answering.

PS: this is relevant to this board because these things are always stated by creationists (a religious position)

The Holly Bible tells us that this is wrong and it's a sin. I know that when we are saved through the Lord Jesus Christ it's for eternity. I am saved and since being saved I try not to willingly sin. If someone is acting upon their gay feelings then they are sinning willingly and on a regular basis. That makes me wonder if someone that is acting upon their gay feelings is really saved. I know a gay lady that calls herself a minister. I don't thing God called her to preach, nor do I believe that God ordained the gay church that she preaches at.

Look at this. Many people like to complain about "Christian bashing," but we live with this type of thing all the time. You have this Harry Potter / Wizard of Oz view of magic and act like anyone who believes in something you don't is insane. Next time someone rants about Jesus rising from the dead, how many people suggest THEY up their dosage? Sorry for the rant, but I'm getting rather tired of it.
