The Jordan River

If you are referring to when John the Baptise was baptizing, then it was the river Jordon, But not all was baptized in the river Jordon, Phillip baptized the Ethopitan in a small water hole out in the desert, & today it can be a creek or even inside a church that has a place to baptize people, deep enough to put then completely under. Baptize means to submerse. And it is to be done in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ as ALL the Apostles of old did troughout the new testament.

The Jordan River in Israel is the same river that Jesus was baptized in. However, any water is fine. Some believe that the water has to be blessed by a church leader as well. But it's the Jordan River.

Some of the first Christians were baptised in the River Jordan; in fact, Jesus was, too! However, there is no scriptural requirement that Christians be baptised in a specific river, or in any river at all. The water must only be deep enough for the person to be completely submerged.

Peace.

Seventh Day Anventist Christians. Water from a tap. We ask for God's blessing in the baptism. The water isn't holy-God is. I hope this answers your question!
