Is it wrong?

I believe in Buddhism's philosophy but I was raised as an Orthodox Christian, and I pray and attend church every once in a while.

I believe in Mother Nature. I don't really have a set religion, if you ask me.

So is it okay to wear Buddha around my neck sometimes?

would you rather be a:
"Chevalier of the Brazen Serpent" (the 25 degree in the hierarchy), a "Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret" (32 degree)
or the "Knight of the Eagle & Pelican and Sovereign Prince Rose Croix of Heredom" (18th degree)?

I reckon number 3 is the best, but number two is the proper mack daddy...which would you rather be?

Depends what you mean by "God" ...

Before you answer this, get your Bible and read Deuteronomy 28:15-68.

How else can you describe Yahweh than as a vicious Monster, even Demon?

Fortunately, Yahweh is NOT God-- just a concept FOR God. And face it, Yahweh is a lousy God-concept. It's primitive and culture-specific to the ancient Israelites, a barbaric culture that no one should want to emulate.

And besides, THEY even got it from the Kenites, a Midianite Arab tribe.

Isn't it time you repudiated this concept, and developed a more advanced notion of the Supreme Being? Can you do this?

And why are you trying to convert people to Christianity if you cannot claim to know what happens to those who do not believe in the divinity of your god (including our dead loved ones)?

There are many religions in the world, with many millions of followers, most of whom follow their religion purely because of the region they were born in.
Therefore religion is an accident of birth.

I was baptised a Christian, yet I now follow my own path with Pagan / Spiritualist ideals. My life revolves around the love of God and my fellow Humans, kindness and truth. I respect Christ as a guide sent down to teach important lessons to mankind, as I also respect the prophet Mohammed for the same reasons.
Yet many born again Christians wish me to burn in hell. How charitable and loving is that?
I find these Christians extraordinarily arrogant in simply dismissing a good part of the world's population as wrong and due to burn, when I find the Christian attitude the most aggressive and least tolerant of all the religions.
Please explain how you comply with God's wishes and Christ's teachings by doling out this vile rhetoric?
Please explain in your OWN words how you are right?

By removing the Name of the Creator and replacing it with a title that would bring worship to Satan.

Whenever you talk about what happens to those who do not believe in the divinity of your god, it applies to our dead loved ones who did not believe in the divinity of your god.

Are you so insensitive as to not see this? Does your insensitivity leave you confused about why your efforts get nowhere with so many of us?

"........turneth away from his wickedness that he hath commited, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
Beacause he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath commited, he shall surely live, he shall not die."
This is a powerful scripture! If you are a devout christian, you agree this is a powerful scripture in your life?

I've been agnostic for years, but I keep it to myself most of the time. I'm not fond of it, but it's a personal necessity for me to be this way-- blind faith and atheism both contradict my ideals and values.

Anyway, most of my friends are Christian, and we occasionally discuss religion. However, every time the subject comes up, they seem to agree with me a little more. Some of them have come completely around to my point of view.

The problem is, I like Christians. I may not always agree with them, but I'm very attracted to their faith and hope and morality. I know what a pain it is to be agnostic, and I wouldn't wish it on the people I love. Also, if Christianity is true, I'm more or less doing the Devil's work.

So what do I do? Just tell them that, actually, I don't have any good reason for being the way I am? That I'm trying to avoid heaven because there are certain people I don't want to bump into there?

I had a NDE yesterday but I rose from the dead and I'm still alive and just as sexy (maybe sexier) than ever.

How about you? What do you think about NDE's.

consider their lives pointless. I don't. I consider my life A whole lot more meaningful b/c I do stuff to change the way the known world is and help the future generation not try to 'get by' life to get to a mythological place that has about as much a chance of existing as a Flying Spaghetti Monster that created the earth or any other religion for that matter. What I live is a life with a point b/c I know I will help others, what you Christians live is a life only with meaning b/c you think you will benefit urselves. Is that why you can't understand why Atheists can have meaning to their lives, b/c it doesn't end with a benefit to them? Plz don't answer with 'YOU ARE HELL, U B PUNISHED FOR BBB BURN HELL'. Or ..'You are so ignerent.' but try to destroy the basis of my point with evidence so I might be confused into thinking there are some intelligent Christians who know how to debate a point..Ty.

After all God allowed Jesus to go through do u really think all you have to do is believe in him.. Biggest lie that was ever told. In that case we can do what ever we want to do and just believe in Jesus and we will be ok. we can lie cheat, fonicate, commit adultry, sleep with as many people we want to and we could still get into heavan. Doesn't that sound foolidsh to you?
Through out the entire bible the law is spoken of and keeping his commandments new and old testament. Both of them are inspired by the same God becasue he changes not. So for all you grace believers learn what the truth is before your fate is sealed.
Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus

I recently asked the question "what turns you off about Christians?" I was surprised to see how angry so many of the responses were. I understood it to be a good venting session for some, which is great (partially the reason people use this site - no one to vent to in person) but I was surprised to see how many angry Christians there were too. Some were angry that I (a devout Christian) would even dare ask such a question. Christians... how do you communicate the gospel without a sense of respect and love for others. Non-Christians... how can one call themselves liberal and have closed off their minds to the religion that founded the country we live in?
