well, the priest you mentioned above would not be considered a Christian...many people will accept Him as their savior..but you cannot stray from Him...you don't just accept Him and then just keep on sinning..that's not how it works...being a good person will not get you into Heaven...

All men/women are born into a world of sinfulness. We are born sinners separated from God because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve.

Jesus, God's precious only begotten Son, was sent to this earth by God to bring us back to Him. The plan for our salvation was for Jesus to die in our place because he had no sin. This is the ultimate sacrifice.

No matter how good and productive our lifes are, we are still not good enough to enter Heaven and live with God. That is why we need Jesus. He is our ticket to Heaven. The Bible tells us that there is nothing that we can do that will save us. Only Jesus can do that.

Our repentance (turning away from sin) and acceptance of Him as our Lord and Savior, is what God requires.

Let me start with Jesus is the one who said "I am the way the truth and the light" "No one comes to the Father but by me"
So, you say you Accept Jesus. Ok, now there is a qualifier.
Repent! And follow Christ. Repent is to turn away from what you are doing and the path your heading down. Jesus wants you to follow him.
So, in your example of a Priest raping. Is that Priest leading a good life?? No, he is CHOOSING not to follow The Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God". That's all of us, me, you, the person down the street, we're all sinners. Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death. Wages is something we earn. And we all earn Hell. But Jesus came and paid our debt. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life".

Christ did all the work of Salvation on the Cross. If we think we can do anything to add to Christ's work, that would be blasphemy. No one could ever be good enough to get into Heaven. Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Very stupid question, that if you read the bible enough you would know the answer to.

One, many catholics are not Jesus-followers. Many of them just do it for the fun, or for the power.

Two, if you lead a good life, good for you. But if you don't believe in Jesus, your obviously not going to Heaven. Now if you are a Christian, yet you sin by raping or murdering, JESUS WILL FORGIVE YOU which is WHY murderers can GO TO HEAVEN!

Now before you ask any more stupid questions, go read the Bible.

We are told and assured in the Bible that we must accept Jesus as our saviour sent by God to save us for our sins. Otherwise NONE of the people God created would EVER have a chance of with a relationship with Him; and you can forget about everlasting life!

God sent us Jesus to save us for our sinful ways regardless of our profession in this world.

Think about it... what if you created a human race of people and made everyone you created love you by default? That's not very genuine is it? Would seem kind of hokey; I'm sure God's no different.

Suggested readings: John 3:16 and the entire book of 1 John. However, choose an easy reader like an Amplified Bible or The Message

Who says the raping Catholic priest will get to Heaven? Even if he confesses his sin and repents outwardly, if he doesn't mean it in his heart, and keeps doing it, he still may not go to Heaven. Only God knows what is in his heart.

Someone like that does not have a ticket to heaven. But that is between that priest and the lord.

Mark Twain said "it is better to appear foolish then to open your mouth and remove all doubt". Try this next time. Your question is based on prejudice and ignorance and if you REALLY wanted to know the answer then I would gladly say it, but it's obvious from your other questions you asked that you are only wanting to stir up conflict by saying such questions. If you had an ounce of dignity, sincereity, or care for anyone else you would keep your personal comments to yourself or at least save them for a category with other content.

If u really accepted Christ in your heart, u wont do that kinda thing.
Realising that once forgiven, we are forever forgiven, doesnt make us want to go out and sin like crazy.
Just like when ur spouse say this to u " No matter how u screwed up, I will always love u"
It's make u want to love that person more, known we are loved unconditionally, not going out and go wild.

Even if u do, God still forgives u, but the Law n Order in this world dont, u still have to go to jail and be punished.
